FRANCISCO BUSTAMANTE vs LEONARDO ANDAM - 1993 US Open 9-Ball Championship

A battle of Filipino teammates with Francisco Bustamante facing Leonardo Andam at the 1993 US Open 9-Ball Championship.
These two players were teammates on the winning 1993 PBT Team Championship, but they are facing off here in a race to thirteen 9-ball match.
At 35 years of age, Andam was the elder of the two. He was a multi time PBT Tour and SEA Games winner.
Bustamante, only 30 at the time, would go on to win every accolade that any pool player could dream of and was inducted into the BCA Hall of Fame in 2010.
This is a rare match, as the commentators are BCA Hall of Fame member Jose Parica and Rolando Vicente. Rolando starts off the match in English, but the commentary quickly shifts to Tagalog for the majority of the match. We have added English sub-titles for our non-Tagalog viewers.

Naaalala ko itong si Dodong Andam nang minsang napunta ito sa Malaybalay, Bukidnon noong late 1970's. Sabi pa ng kuya ko na isa ring bilyarista, sabi niya sabay turo sa tahimik na nakaupong si Dodong Andam, "bantayan mo ang manlalarong yan pag nanumbalik ang kanyang kalusugan dahil magaling yan". Makalipas nga ang ilang taon ay nabalitaan kong matunog na matunog ang pangalan ni Dodong sa Manila. Palagay ko ang karamdamang kumitil sa kanya ay gayon ding karamdamang dinanas niya noong mapunta sa Malaybalay. Palagay ko matagal nang dala dala niya ang kanyang karamdaman.
