Yo hace 2 años tube ese problema en mi motor cummins, 11 mil dolares me costo la reparacion del motor de ponerle la junta a las cabesas y otras cosas, eso me pasó en Wichita KS , tube k llevarlo para el kenworth , esa reparacion y desarme Cuesta una plata!!

Friggin cummins. I had this crap happened to mine the second time this year. First time was micro cracks in head so we replaced head, head gasket and all other gaskets, ran fine for two month and now again in shop, the brand new head gasket got blown between cyl 5 and 6.

I heard that they have these kinds of things between 2011-2015. Engine liner dropped; I had similar problem this year. I was thinking that was EGR cooler leakage, but ended up with head gasket…

That's blow-by. Burning oil getting past the piston rings. Depending on how much oil you burn between service intervals. Might be looking at a inframe soon.

This was caused by a cracked head and also broken head gasket. Driver ran it too hot in this case.

It is pretty much simple. You need new head, head gasket and all other gaskets to put the engine back together, patiently wait for parts to arrive and pay the labor.

Quick update: after second repair the truck worked good and I sold it and quit trucking.

@@igorushka was it cylinder head or head gasket or air compressor????

@@moesammour1865 first breakdown was(920K miles)“ micro cracks in the cylinder head” second breakdown(940K miles) was head gasket between cyl5 and 6. Of course head gasket was new. But after my thorough investigation, the second breakdown could be prevented if shop replaced old thermostat. Coolant temps were spiking for short period of time up to 230-250F every time after cold start till you get to 70mph and fan kicks in. Other than that it is a good engine, it lasted almost 1 million miles with regular maintenance and some sensors here and there. It climbs all the hills, does 80-85 mph for 2000 miles week after week.
