That was the moment, that I realized size is a illusion. We have been taught if you are that large you are slow, weak, and graceless. Clearly, that is a lie.

Awesome! Twirling sure has changed from when I twirled. It used to be about 4-finger twirls with right and then left hand, fishtails, and other maneuvers I can't even remember their names. It was more about the twirling than the gymnastics. Back then, we didn't have to learn splits and cartwheels. We left those to the cheerleaders. It has turned into a sport.

Woah this is beyond amazing! Especially this twirl: 0:41 This whole time I was thinking that this looks like the Sailor Moon transformations and shit... Kinda hard to believe that the human mind/body can actually do this.

I am a beginner twirler, and I am obsessed with the sport! I would just like to say about this video that her double arm rolls were AWESOME! I am not as flexible as other twirlers and can't do an illusion at all but I am just mesmerized at her flexibility and her solo above all! I LOVED IT!

She is scary ! I am shocked a women of her size can move that fast. She is very powerful and graceful. While more slender women need to generate speed to complete more difficult moves, it seems like Karissa can just power through many of the more complex moves because of her muscle mass. Women with size you should take note, its all about the right state of mind. You are weak and slow because you believe you are. Karissa doesn't suffer that problem.
@catinabox30486 жыл бұрын
She's not big enough for size to be of any hindrance to her movement. She might be bigger than the typical elite gymnast or ballerina, but let's be honest, elite gymnasts and dancers are very thin. If you see this lady outside of a leotard, she won't look big at all. I mean, it's not like she's actually fat. Her body is very proportional and her stomach doesn't protrude, so that speaks very normal-sized to me.

Мария Шинкарева Baton Twirling is a sport, that you need to be an athlete for to do big tosses and heavy movement. The fact that she is 'big' is perfect
@LauraBidingCitizen6 жыл бұрын
Мария Шинкарева What do you think a twirler is? That’s the equivalent of saying a ballet dancer isn’t an athlete. What a crock of crap. A twirler has to be a dancer, a gymnast, an athlete & a ballet dancer all combined, not to mention the coordination skills, perseverance & patience of a saint to practice for days / weeks / months just to perfect 1 move. Don’t comment or judge on a sport unless you’ve ever experienced it. And certainly don’t comment on a woman’s body behind an anonymous little KZbin account. Speaks more about your own insecurities than anything else kid.
