Bel canto ! Le chef, pris par l"ambiance ne peut s'empêcher de danser en cadence, la violoniste jubile et j'adore ce contraste élégant noir et blanc, Franco qui apprivoise et dompte avec virtuosité Rossini et ses effets spéciaux de bel canto .... I agree this is not his highest note althougnit is definitely B5. I hear a very clear C#6 in Vo Solcando in a recording on KZbin from 2012. I believe I have also heard a higher note and will check to verify it. It may be that the recording or even a computer's speakers distort these notes to a degree.

The caption is very wrong! The longest sustained high note in this performance is a B5 and we all know that Franco sings up to a solid E6 . This can NOT be his "HIGHEST NOTE EVER" NEVER!!!!

In what piece is the E6? Highest I’ve heard is about Db6-Eb6 (Db6 being a written D but in baroque pitch, evident throughout his work), Eb in the Or la tromba on YT

@@ChristopherRSkinner I may not recall the exact video of the aria he performed but i have heard Fagioli sing an E6 just above the D#6 he sang in his rendition of Vo Solcando. Yet these notes are higher than the B5 sung here

I can’t remember the aria but I’ve definitely heard him sing a D6 so this is absolutely not his highest note lol

C'est le chef d'orchestre officiel du Château de Versailles . Il est très spectaculaire , sait s'adapter, innover et mettre en valeur tous les nouveaux chanteurs baroques qui sont passés sous sa baguette magique . Passionné et sympathique .
