that was a great game, of the most memorable. To me the Kiwis had probably the best team ever, but the Springbock could manage to beat those titans and did achieve something epic. A gentlemen, a real leader, an exellent player and a great human being.

I was a teenager in the US when the World Cup took place, so I really didn't know about it until Invictus. Since seeing the film, I've been researching as much as possible. Thank you for posting this video.

You should have ignored the protocol for one second and gave him a hug. This simple gesture would have so much impact on whole South Africa than you can imagine.I am pretty sure that today you regret for not doing so.

Why did his son run to Mandela and told him he wanted him to be his godfather? How did the kid come up with that request? Maybe because at his age, with the eyes of a little boy and through his innocent mind, he saw the greatness in a man like Madiba.

@jazzx251 although I agree with everything you say about Mandela, you're completely wrong about not daring to visit any other african country. You should get more information on that. It's a huge continent with other beautiful countries while South Africa is still a very dangerous place to visit and to live in (especially if you're an immigrant).

Alleged food poisoning, what losing team wouldn't blame it on something or another, too hard just to give South Africa the praise they deserved, it was a close match, both teams played their hearts out, that's All Black rugby though they're so proud and think they are unbeatable they had to blame it on something, when last did the All Blacks last win a world cup again? 1987, are they going to blame the other 3 world cups they threw away on food poisoning too?

Matiba ended Apartheid in South Africa without the outbreak of civil war. He waswhy the end of apartheid was without needless bloodshed and this was the first time such a political situation was resolved peacefully.race is still and issue but the point is that it didn't start a war here in South Africa which most of the world saw as being inevitable.I hope you understand a little better now and please, have a little more respect when addressing issues that are so close to the hearts of others.

Yeah the poisoning is very factual. The waitress admitted to doing it, and the boks didn't really defend against the accusations.. Plus a load of the players (included Lomu) were sick. Impressive that the All Blacks managed to squeeze extra-time out of it.

And the cheating kiwi Bryce Lawrence in 2011 robbed SA to help the AB avoid them in the semi finals. DP still hold the record for the most turnovers ever in a rugby game because of that match. Refs never criticise other refs but your man Lawrence was taken apart by a couple for that game.

idolatry all round - playing Rugby on shabbat, a rugby ball is more important than our Creator - Madiba magic (sorcery) no wonder South Africa has gone to the dogs. They are still worshiping him as a "god: even now he is dead. Shame what will Messiah Yah'ushua have to say when he returns on judgement day Luk 13:27 “But He shall say, ‘I say to you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of unrighteousness. Shaul said 1Co 10:14 Therefore, my beloved ones, flee from idolatry. Rev_22:14 Baruch'd (pagan word Blessed) are they that do HIS ( YAH'UAH's) commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. - Mandela and his followers won't be any of those.
