Do Blackthorn rootballs really tend to be harder than the rest? I've considered a root top but I'm not entirely convinced a small enough hickory or locust to try it with would be any stronger than a larger limb with less sapwood.

Yes root sticks are harder to find to Harvest and to work with and are the most highly sought after

@@FrancisMcCaffrey5 Cool beans. I'm fascinated by Blackthorn and other "exotic" woods to my locale. Watching you work with Blackthorn is like an adult version of watching someone play a game I don't have 😆
