I agree with the comments about locking mailboxes. A sharpened edge inside the slot will sever a string...or a thief's finger. The postman knows the code and can safely get the letters. When I installed mine, neighbors thought I was being paranoid, but as a friend used to say, "even paranoid people have enemies ".😊

Exactly why I don't send checks in the mail. I pay online using a credit card.

I do NOT use checks at all. Think about it - ALL of your private , Personal information are on your checks from your bank . Your name , Phone , Address , Phone Number , Bank account Number and Routing Numbers… = 👎 NOPE!!!

I have one place that only accepts checks. It’s unfortunate for the reasons you stated.

DR Phil did a number of episodes on this subject alone. I don't think there's much you can do to help the people that believe these scams. 😢

This guy is a fraud
