Frank Black has got to be one of the most underrated music Gods ever. In Pixies we trust.

Glad to discover this version tonight so many years later! Very good accompaniment from M. Tepper. I sometimes love Frank's solo songs more than his Pixies stuff, like this tune (although I only get about 20% of what he means). It is precious to me.

This song has a mystical quality to it. You don’t need to even understand the lyrics to feel it. Good poetry just transports you to a new world

For an extraordinary treat, look on YT for FB’s newer solo versions of IBT. He’s got a handful from the last seven or so years , from radio spots, interviews, and a FABULOUS visit he did at the Portland , Oregon Children’s Hospital . Enjoy !!

I am not sure I understand the physics, but this song continues to grow on me every time I watch this. After what has to be hundreds of views, every time is magical. His skill is nearly divinity.

Frank Black's music is the most under appreciated music of the late 20th century. Every song he sings touches you somewhere. Some sad, some funny, some beautiful, and all are a step above the stuff his peers made. Frank Black shows me what music should be!

Yes! Do you like the new Pixies songs?

from his time in the pixies till now it has all be great,i have grown up listening to frank black.now in my mid thirties i find it just as good as it's ever been ,just progressed in a new direction, lyric wise and sound wise

get teenager of the year. it's just frank black, no catholics yet. it ROCKS! although very different than pixies. and once you listen to that one, then just get all of 'em. frank black, frank black and the catholics, black francis, all of it. he's the man!
The same thing happens to me each time I listen to him. He is a mesmorizing songwriter. My life has been much richer after I discovered his music. First with the Pixies, but even more so I think with his later work.

His Pixies stuff is magic. Kim Deal is the REAL DEAL as well. But there is something different about his later solo work. Its intimate. Its thoughtful as compared to challenging. He brings the solo and personal to his self titular (ha!) work. And I appreciate it.

It's almost a metamorphosis. The Catholics and especially his solo stuff is a completely different animal. Coastline is one of my favorites and as far musically from No. 13 Baby, another of my all-time favorites, as you could get.
