Most recognized from his hit "I Remember You", Frank Ifield is no one trick pony. The English-Australian singer had 4 #1 hits on the UK Singles Chart in the early 60's. In many of his songs Frank incorporated yodelling, which was up to then unheard of in UK pop music. Crossing over into country music during the 1960's he really found his niche. "There'll Be Another Spring" is one of my favorites. Not country and no yodelling, just a fine effort showing the singer's range of material. His intonations and rhythm remind one of Roy Orbison. The song was an A-Side single taken from the gimmick album 'Babes In The Wood'. I must say Mr. Ifield makes a dapper Robin Hood! The song is written by the team of Marvin/Welch/Bennett/Rostill. The first 3 you might recognize as members of The Shadows instrumental group who also backed Cliff Richard.
