Frank Kelly would have to be one of my favourite rally drivers around atm, and this video paints a beautiful portrait of his incredible skill and car control. I'm guessing this event was for the lols (so to speak) and not for setting the fastest times because that is by no means the way to drive fast (those rear tires must have been dirt tires), but the way to give the crowd one hell of a show, and boy was that an awesome show.

Yes, Frank was in the "Legend Stars" category which is the demonstration part of the event. He's good isn't he.... 😉

Couldn't think of a better category for him to race in really, most definitely a legend - thank you for the info. He recently did a tour of New Zealand and a rally in Adelaide, Australia (my hometown) I didn't get a chance to see him live but if they ever come back I'll not make that mistake again.

@@Bob-Jenkins yes, Frank is s sought after man. I helped to introduce him to the organisers for Rallylegend and Rally Festival Trasmiera (Spain) where he demonstrated this year. He's a great bloke 🖒

@@snapper8v - thank god i read this comment thread. I have been wondering what the story was with this rally because all the vids i see are lads putting on a show and not hard at it to win. So is there a normal competitive part to this rally too? Thanks.

@@conjoe176 yes, it is a competitive event. The first 50 odd cars (Legend Stars) are just for demonstration. But, from car 1 onwards, it's competitive. This year will be our 11th year going to San Marino. Fancy joining us.....?
