Sparring is most definitely a different vibe. I’ve sparred someone and beat them pretty bad there, and then…. we met at a big tournament and it was different. Dude turned on performance mode and was not making the same mistakes I was used to seeing. So sparring is not always a guaranteed who’s better situation.

It may or may not mean anything but I'd be more worried about the guy whose utilizing techniques correctly and fluid than just any old joker hitting the bag. And sparring isn't under the lights in front of everyone but getting worked in sparring suggests that something needs to be worked on. It also suggests there's something the other fighter can exploit or is better at. People keep repeating the much regurgitated axiom that "sparring and fighting" are two different things but people really do go hard in those gyms. It’s sparring bro and this was probably back when tank was drunk all the time and out of shape unless it was for a fight. but I take nothing away from Frank knowing how sharp tank is in his sparring videos, It’s not easy to look good against him. But again we talking about practice Montana love looked good against tank. I still don’t see him becoming world champ.

Because I literally just watch Frank Martin minutes after he sparred Tank and it is on youtube he gave Tank his credit and Frank said that he wasn't his best he could have done better and that under the lights Frank said he would be better , speaking as if Gervontaa gave him great work and now he helped him get ready for Leo Santa Cruz please watch it is on youtube. He was so complimentary of Tank. He said he ranked Tank number 2 as the hardest puncher he ever been hit by. Now like so many others they get just a little attention and then it's I put it on him in sparring, Floyd was there. Tank know. It's crazy. Tank rarely speaks unless he has a fight, so people run with the B.S. and then we watch their fights and then it don't match with what they claim they are doing in sparring.Welp!!
