I never missed those old AFC Central Browns vs Oilers games when they were on tv.Watching Minnifield and Dixon cover the run and shoot Houston Oilers, offense.

If the stat about Dixon only being thrown at 7 times in all of 1987 is accurate, that's is crazy.

They should build a statue to Minnifield & Dixon outside the current stadium for 1) All Pro play, 2) inventing the dawg pound. I saw them separately at Cavalier games. Minnifield was unbelievably short, and had huge calves for jumping. Dixon cut an athletic figure and was very friendly. Great guys.

Great duo. Cornerback is my favorite position and I'm glad I caught this program when it aired on the NFL Network. Dixon and Minnifield were beasts. Frank's son Chase plays CB for the University of Virginia and is pretty good too. I actually knew about him before Frank.

Loved these guys ,then there’s the prevent defense ! Coaches making them play back allowing short underneath passes and allowing the receiver to get out of bounds ! This is why we didn’t make it to the super bowl! If these guys could have played one on one and in the face of the broncos receivers we would have been in the Super Bowl!

Frank Minnefield was one of the original designers for Nike , I think . I remember him wearing Orange Shoes one of the first .
