i met the cutest most sweet boy EVER last summer when i went to mexico. we met at the pool in the resort i was staying at. i asked my cousin to ask him how old he was, and he came back and told me that he gave him my snap. he was there with a friend, and him and his invited me and my cousin to play volleyball with them, and since that night we were like “inseparable”. we didn’t not hang out with them one single day we were there. the last night i was there, my cousin and the boys friend walked back to our rooms together, bc they were just a floor up from us. i ended up hanging back with the boy i met and we wanted a little more time together so we walked back the long way, which included walking the beach. it was 11:30 at night and you could hear the waves splashing and the wind slowly blowing. it was amazing and we just kinda vibed for 10 mins straight. this song takes me back to it all, bc to this day i still can’t get him out of my mind. i think abt him everyday, and this july will be a year since i last saw him. his hugs were AMAZING and if i could just get one more i would just melt in his arms. i miss him sm and i will not tell him, considering he lives all the way across the country from me. i just wish i could see him. one. more. time🥺🥺🥺

I don’t really know what this song gives me. It makes me happy, but on the other hand, it gets me way too invested in my own feelings. I absolutely love Frank Ocean, and this is my favorite song by him. It makes me wanna provide for someone, be there for them, love them incredibly hard and make them love themselves. I’d love for it to be vice versa. It’s hard to find someone down for you, really down for you. Problems are consistent in relationships, the world, etc. you just really have to make the best of everything. It’s a weird time, currently. Everyone is at each other’s neck, hating each other, and just overall hating everything. It’s very hard to be in love with someone when nobody is loving themselves right now. Actively seeking out something isn’t ever going to work, but too many people are afraid of many things to ever commit anymore. We live in a time where nothing is going to be okay as long as you prioritize your happiness over others, and there’s too many people out there who do nothing but not care for themselves. I don’t know. I’m just rambling. It’s hard to really find someone who listens anymore. It makes me sad how everything is nowadays. Too much hatred in this world to be loved or to love. Regardless. Positivity should always remain, despite the tough times. Everyone has themselves and that’s always a great thing. I love the vibes of the original song, but this slowed version hits different. I don't get the impression of a summer fling going bad like other commenters have said, though. To me, this feels like two grown adults who have their own things going for them in life. Maybe they've used each other to lean on for emotional support (and other things, obviously) for a while, and now someone new has caught the lady's eye.
