@cthulhucrews6602 I use to think that too until I saw the impact its having on the world. Desmond is amazing and lactacia are the perfect examples of how the lifestyle has impacted the world. It didn't start with the LGBT community though it started when sex outside of marriage became the accepted norm. Immorality has a negative impact on society which is why God says something is immoral. To briefly explain the influence. Why get married and have sex when you can have it with anyone you want? (Removing a standard) since you don't have to get married to have sex why would you need to only have sex with the opposite gender?(removing another standard) and now people are confused about what gender they are because gender roles have been removed. We see how that is affecting the kids. Now we basically have porno in public schools so if kids are being encouraged to sexually explore how would it harm children when they are learning all about it. It just keeps going. Sin always takes us farther then we ever think it will take us. Its just a long game is all. Something doesn't have to have immediately results for it to be wrong.

In fact, your brain is 30 times more powerful than the IBM Sequoia. Keep in mind this huge computer takes up 3000 square feet of space and cost 325 million dollars to make and still loses by miles from the 3 pound brain. It takes Japan’s K super computer 40 minutes to process the data our brain processes in 1 second! Many ask for proof of God, but the proof is inside of you and within all life. @cnault3244 seeing as how science doesn't deal in proofs but simply evidence. Proof is evidence sure but evidence isnt necessarily proof. Nothing has to be proven but simply given a reason to believe that it's true or false. Evidence is merely a reason to believe something is true or not. Solely relying on proof is a dismissal of evidence because the evidence doesn't say what you want it to say as not all evidence is proof. Just because God hasn't been proven to you doesn't mean that sin is meaningless.

Romans 6:12 We have the power to stop sinning through the power and grace of God. Do not limit Gods power in your life by saying we cannot stop sin, is it any wonder a brother still struggle’s if he lacks faith in Gods power? facts, but i don't understand why "most" not all but most Christians don't realize repent means "to change" to stop doing something. It doesn't mean to just confess it or feel sorry for it. This is where it gets deep, because sometimes you can't change, you can't stop. But Christ can do all things, he can heal you from addiction, he can mend our brokenness, it isn't always immediate but a relationship that matures over time. Pursue him is the best answer i can give because you can't really explain it to anyone who has not experienced his healing.

When I was still together with my Ex, we had this conversation made into a light argument about if we had a child together and when they got older and could make decisions for themselves, having a relationship with someone of the same sex and potentially marry. While she very much believed in a ‘live and let live mentality’ my answer was simple. Nothing would change my love for my children, but it didn’t necessarily mean I would accept their lifestyle choices. In the end, I do my best as their father trying to raise them as best I know how, but when they are eventually old enough, they are adults and I have to let them make adult decisions, no matter how much it may be against my wishes for them.

To be gay is literally as natural as being straight and if you deny that that means you do not agree that straight is natural. Straight feelings, like feelings in general, comes from within right? @@Vero2yu can two guys or two girls together have a baby? What is the general purpose of sex? It’s not to feel good if that’s your answer, but to procreate. Feelings aside, what if it came down to the survival of our species? I think there’s alot of things we can see as “natural” as long as we feel it to be so, when in reality it’s not. Live your life however you want by all means, but don’t try to tell me being gay is something natural, as it couldn’t be farther from the truth. I could make the claim that some older man (pedophiles) are just “naturally” attracted to younger boys or girls. Should we just accept that as long as they aren’t physically harming them? See here’s the problem with your argument, as it’s something that goes against the very word natural. Soon more and more people will begin to implement grotesque fetishes, sexual kinks as “natural”, as the door has now been opened to this sort of thing I could go a lot more detail into. I have no problem with gay people, as I’ve personally come to know and have at least 2 friends who are some of the nicest people I’ve ever known. Does this change how I feel about their lifestyle? Nope, but it doesn’t mean I can’t still be friends with them. While I believe in having feelings by all means, they are equally something that can lead you astray if you are blinded by them.

God can help a person to reemphasize the good and godly loving feelings they have for others. As they do this the impure desires will slowly diminish. They may or may not always remain something of a struggle but as Paul says "I keep my body under" so he can be more truly loving and share the freedom of Jesus. @GariSullivan

It is ONLY heartbreaking because you have been told it is sinful. If you came from a family that was not religious, you wouldn't be heartbroken. What this shows us is that our morals come from our own views, experiences and what we have been taught - NOT from god! Turek's sad and tired argument that all morals come from god has no foundation or reason to be believed. Look at the different types of Christianity - each with their own view of what is and isn't good. There are 8 billion people on this planet and 8 billion versions of what is right and wrong. Maybe you live in a country that allows the state to kill people while your god says "Thou shalt not kill". I come from an atheist country that has banned death penalty. Is your country more moral than mine or is mine more moral than yours? You look to your god to tell you: the answer is "thou shalt not kill" and "any eye for an eye" The ONLY way to stop being heartbroken over a gay son or daughter is to stop thinking homosexuality is wrong. You do that by realising the ONLY reason you do think it is wrong is because you hang around people who tell you it's wrong. Hang around people who tell you it's ok, and you will start to believe it's ok. Morals don't come from god. They come from us.

@@pastorbri But the point of the argument is that's irrelevant. "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." that's the point. Everyone in some way shape or form is still a rebel in God's eyes. That extends to both believers and non alike. So if lefties think being a believer is like getting a free pass. Wrong, don't care how many Christians you think you know or have met it's still wrong. The actual difference is that believers are more aware of this fact then lefties realize and nonbelievers can't even see the hook they are stuck to. It also reduces why we choose to do things God's way. It's because we CHOOSE to. It's just like following the law. I think this has to do with the continuality of the sin. For instance: when you steal or lie, it is a one-time moment, and therefore you can have regret and ask for forgiveness. Homosexuality is a relationship and endures continually. How can you ask for forgiveness or be forgiven if you are sinning at the moment you ask for forgiveness? Watching a movie committing a crime like murder is not the same sin as committing it, or the example of sex verse watching sex, both are sinful, but the degree is not. Yes, Christ said even if you look at a woman to lust after her you've committed adultery in your heart! He was speaking that sin starts with a heart condition, your eyes and mind and heart is where it starts. Only Christ can clean us from our sin his words sanctified and empowers us with strength to overcome sin in our lives. It's not necessary a onetime event for others it's a lifelong transformation. We all have our burdens to carry and help each other carry. Scripture gives examples for people who struggle with same sex attraction. They are reference as Eunuchs, one naturally incapacitated, an emasculated man, Matthew 19:12 one who voluntarily abstains from marriage, for there are eunuchs who have been so from birth, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Glad this man brought up that statistic about 1/3 of pastors struggling with pornography. I wonder if Frank would consider homosexuality as a reason why someone couldn’t call themselves a Christian, or a reason why someone couldn’t qualify to be a pastor, as opposed to a pastor who “only” struggles with pornography. 🤔 Personally, I would say both are forgivable, because someone can be a great pastor, in the sense of providing care and direction to an assembly of Christians, even while having a particular sin battle. Worst case scenario, someone in their congregation comes to them for guidance to overcome that sin, and the pastor has to say “I’m struggling with that, too, let’s find out together how to overcome this.” 🤷 People make a big deal over other peoples’ problems more often than their own, imo.

Having the attraction isn't the sin. We all have temptations and fleshly desires that don't align with the way God has asked us to live. Acting upon those desires is sinful. And it's the same with wanting to have sex outside of marriage. Having the desire for a sexual relationship is not the sin (as long as a person isn't actively lusting after another person) But acting on it outside of marriage is the sin. There have been many people who have overcome their homosexual desires with the help of the Holy Spirit. There are others who still struggle and choose to live a life of singleness in order to honor the Lord. The New Testament says that choosing to be single allows people to devote themselves to God in a very special way.

@@bunny_0288 I don't think any of it is "sin". But according to biblical logic, it is a sin to want certain things. It's a sin, for example, to even hate someone. You're stuck in this conundrum of being more empathetic than the text.

@@BrianBadondeBo Yes to hate in your heart and to lust after someone is sinful. But having a temptation is not sinful and we know this because Jesus was tempted, yet did not sin. We all struggle with fleshly desires. Even after being saved. The difference is, we now have the Holy Spirit and feel convicted and we also should WANT to please God. But the Bible describes it as a spiritual battle between our new identity in Christ and our flesh. Over time, God will change your desires through the process of Sanctification. Certain things I struggled with several years ago, for example, I no longer am even tempted by. But I still have things I'm working on. Being attracted to someone is not sinful. Lusting after them is. So a person being attracted to someone of the same sex is not sinning unless they take it to the next level and either lust after them in their hearts or act upon that attraction and engage in homosexual behavior. Beckett Cook is someone who was living as a gay man when he was saved. He shares his own personal experience along with what the Bible says about it all. I highly recommend checking out his channel for more in depth information on this subject. Also his story of how he got saved is WILD!

Then you follow up with: "How do you know that to be true?" . And the answer is typically, "We all just know it" or "someone told me." . That is not a well-thought-out position to take. . The bottom line is many people have a system of morality that is based on "What's in it for me?" or "I saw this TikTok influencers whom I like." A careful, rational, thoughtful approach will always be asking, "How do I know this to be true?" and will constantly be seeking for truth. The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities-His eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to Him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles. Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator-who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them. Romans 1

Who taught you that we need to protect the weak and the innocent? You have to understand, the origin of these things is important because if they're based on the human standard the human standard can and will change. In a span of 300 years we went from enslaving black people, to allowing women to vote and work as they see fit. But there's nothing that's stopping us from going back to those terrible times and China/Russia/NK are great examples of it. If there is no all superior standard of goodness. To actually understand who the runner in Mark 14, verse 51...is, one has to take the whole chapter into consideration. 1) Jesus had just got done with the last supper, he had just declared that one of His own would be betraying Him. What does the word "betray" mean? 2) He had just left in the middle of the night to go to the Mount of Olives, and went alone further with 3 of His desciples- to pray, and it is written that He began to be " sore amazed...and very heavy". What could trouble His soul to such an extent as to have to even ask His desciples to- a, sit here- close to Him, while He prays; b, letting them know the extent of and reason for the sorrow in his SOUL!, and to still " tarry and watch" c, what could have made Him to plead with His Father to try and take away this cup- filled with wrath of God, especially for the impending trap that has been prepared for Him?, d, why was it important for Him that His desciples "watch and pray?", and what could be so bad to make His and their flesh weak? Verses 32-38? Why would there have to be present, tge priests, scribes, elders and a great multitude? Verse 43? What must they witness that would be so outrageous and abominable, that would demand immediate arrest and subsequent insult, maltreatment of Jesus Christ, that even His desciples wouldn't want to be associated with him? And suddenly, there appeared a "certain naked young man, simply clad with a linen cloth, left and fled naked? What was his role in the set up of Jesus Christ, in a remote place, in the middle of the night? What did they want to show concerning Jesus Christ? Why would even their witnesses not agree? Wasn't it because they didn't understand the depth of their satanic mind? This man claimed to be the Son of God, and the descendant of King David, and was now found in a blatantly staged compromising situation? Verse 61, why was it important for them to ask about His status as " the Christ, the Son of the Most BLESSED? Implying he was cursed? Funny, that was the only question He answered, because it was the Truth! The Truth they were not willing to accept, instead smeared His reputation for the who world to see, since Jerusalem was teeming with people from all over for the feast of passover! The most admirable and regal thing about this is that Jesus Christ kept quiet, even when they condemned Him to death according to Leviticus 20:13, with all the false witnesses to corroborate their false accusations of blasphemous conduct and speech, spitting on and making fun of Him verses 55-65! Wow! He actually preferred to be condemned to death, rather than say anything that would condemn even the man that fled naked from the scene! He would have made them look for him and arrest him for lewed conduct and immoral act. But, didn't Jesus Christ come to seek and save the lost- even those who are called immoral and who commit abomination? This just proved how Jesus Christ paid for the punishment of every one, especially those who the scriptures condemned as committing abomination, they were the most beneficial of His condemnation and subsequent punishment and eventual cursed death on the cross of Calvary. Any one who still tramples on His shed blood, after seeing what He did for them, by continuing in their pernicious ways, would have no more plea for sin. They will be looking forward to a fiery judgment on that day, but God will be Just and Righteous in judgment! He put the most needful for the last, He never overlooked anyone, no matter who they are or the nature of their sins, He paid for them all! Thus, the naked man clad with linen cloth in verses 51 and 52, was the bait, set up to implicate Jesus Christ and anyone associated with Him. I believe that Judas was blindsided with the appearance of this young man, and this made him regret ever colluding with these people, because that wasn't part of the agreement, and this got him to kill himself! Let us remember that these people will do anything in order to get their way. They actually went to catch a woman committing adultery in the very act, John 8: 3-11 so that they can have something to trap Jesus. They have been looking for ways to get rid of Him, and this naked young guy was it! That would be the reason why Peter vehemently denying knowing Jesus Christ 3 times! one.

The beginning of sin, the mystery of iniquity began in Eden, Genesis 4:8-15-24. (Actually it began with Lucifer, but since he would never receive forgiveness, God began to impute His righteosness as soon as man sinned, and made a way out for him by the blood of the sinless Lamb slain before the foundation of the world, but that lives, sitted on the throne of God in the heavenly places. Ezekiel 28:16, and promptly judged verses 17-19, John 16:11, while man got a 1000 years deferred punishment, which was paid for by the sinless blood of Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, and the complete man, on the cross of Calvary. ) This sin couldn't readily be judged simply because there was no preceding law about being one's brother's keeper that was broken. (Thus, the whole system was destroyed by the flood, and the laws started with that Genesis 9:5-6, until finally judged and finished on the cross John 19:30) And in verse 15, a precedent was laid down for the time it would take to judge sin, 70x7 or 490 years. That generation was wiped out by the flood, but the precept remained: sin shall be avenged seventy and seven fold. (Matthew 18:21-23). This was the standard by which Israel also judged, as they also had to spend 70 sabbath years ( or 70x7= 490 years), in exile, outside of the promised land. When it was the 69th week year Daniel prayed to God, and fasted to remind Him of the imminent due date of the return of God's people to their promised land; but the sin of the Amorite was not yet full, Genesis 15:16, also, Israel was still in rebellion towards God, and the land cannot sustain rebellion- it was Holy! So, the Messiah had to come and make a way for grace and justification, and righteousness of God to be imputed, so Israel can get back their monarchy, through the house of David, and back to the kingdom of God, by grace through faith in Christ Jesus, as the Son of God, and the Son of man -the promised Son of David, the king of Israel to order His Kingdom Isaiah 9:6; who would ascend His throne as God had promised him. Romans 1:3; Acts 2:30, and come to bring them back to God, Jeremiah 16:16a; Luke 19:10; Matthew 10:5. Instead, they rejected and killed Him. Thus, from then onwards, the way to God was opened to whosoever would come to Him by grace through the shedding of His blood, by grace through faith in His sacrificial death, burial and resurrection. They were given the adoption of sons and daughters into the kingdom, which hitherto, they were not permitted Ephesians 2:13; John 1:11-14, becoming heirs and joint heirs of God and the Abrahamic covenanted promises an blessing (Genesis 25:6- the representatives of his other children by Hagar and Keturah, the Kings of the East, could now access and partake of the blessing, and they showed their allegiance and faith, by worshipping Jesus Christ, as a Child!) Jesus Christ gave His life for all who would simply believe in Him as Lord and Savior, in order to keep them from the wrath of God that will be unleashed upon the Amorite, until the end. Isaiah 63:18; Daniel 8:13; Zechariah 12:3; Luke 21:24; Revelation 11:2. And eventually, they will be rescued at the second coming of Christ Luke 21:13; Zechariah 14. He finished the work of salvation of the soul of man John 19:30 and this continues the "acceptable year of the Lord" which began as He took the sealed book of Daniel, 12:4, from God, as the Lamb of God, who alone is Worthy, and opened the seals Revelation 5, and fulfilled the first of the three part of Isaiah 61:2, in Luke 4:16-21, and He SHUT it again. This will run through this dispensation of preaching of the gospel of grace, (which ended the preaching of the gospel of the kingdom, which ended with the stoning of Stephen) by faith in the sacrificial death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and He will return to gather His saints from the world, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 1 Corinthians 15; and present them faultless before the presence of God the Father, with exceeding joy, Jude 24; with victory over sin, devil, death, hell and eternal damnation in the lake of fire and brimstone Isaiah 66:24. The second dispensation is nearly upon us, at this time Isaiah 63:4, which will usher in the tribulation period when the 70th and last year will be ushered in to finish all transgressions! Daniel 9:24. ( As the Messiah has become the sacrifice for sin, and was dead, buried and rose again from the dead! His shed blood sprinkled on the heavenly mercy seat for propitiation for sins for all who would go to God by and through Him, simply by faith! Ephesians 2:8). Then, the Lord will return the second time, complete with His body, as a new Creature resting upon the Mount of Olives Zechariah 14, to make a way of escape for the remnants of Israel Matthew 24:31. Then the battle of armageddon will ensue, and it will end up in total obliteration of this earth. Isaiah 24; Joel chapters 2 and 3, Jeremiah chapters 1-11...; 1 Peter 3 etc. This is the fullness and end, and judgment of the sin of the Amorite! Matthew 18:21-22; Psalm 75:8; 73:3-17. Then the new heaven and earth will be created after the conclusion of the millennium- to mark the expiration date of sin and death, like it was back in Eden. Now man will live out the 1000 year curse of death Isaiah 65, (Genesis 5). Then history will repeat itself when everything reaches full circle- the serpent will be released once again, Revelation 20:1-6, to tempt man as he did with Adam and Eve, those who follow him will get totally judged and cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, together with hell, death, the antichrist, false prophets and all whose portion is with them Isaiah 66:24. Revelation chapters 19-22. God has perfected the end from the beginning. But as it is written-"My people are destroyed for lack of Knowledge " Hosea 4:6, so, "With all thine getting, get understanding " Proverbs 4:7; Luke 24:45. Be filled with and led by the Holy Spirit, and abide in the fold, John 10, until He returns as promised, to take up His purchased possession! John 14:26; Ephesians chapters 1-2! Then He will set up His kingdom! Isaiah 9:6! Be encouraged!

The first Commandment says: "I am your Lord God, may you have no other gods besides me"! This is in tune with the first part of the Shahada in Islam: "there is no one and nothing worthy of worship except the Only God"! The essence of these foundations of faith is the same, it is the acceptance and testimony of the Only God and at the same time the same God! For Muslims, there is only One God and this is the God of Abraham peace be upon him, this is the God with whom Moses spoke peace be upon him on Mount Sinai and this is the God whom Jesus worshipped peace be upon him kneeling and seasoning his face to the Ground and it was about this God that Muhammad brought the news peace be upon him and the blessing of the Almighty! The Shahada and the First Commandment are also in tune with the words of Jesus peace be upon him: "Worship the Lord God Alone and serve Him Alone," and "The Lord your God, the Lord is One"! What does One God, the Only God, mean? God in the Messages of the Prophets is the Creator, the Source of All Things, the one who is worshipped and if He is One, then he Alone should be worshipped! Tell me who said I in the 1st Commandment? Jesus peace be upon him or the Holy Spirit? In addition to Pleading to the Messiah, peace be upon him and the Holy Spirit, today many are asking and hoping for Saints, illuminated objects, etc. Worship, prayer, supplication, service, repentance, vow, hope, all these are types of worship and should be directed to the Only God! Otherwise, regardless of who you turn to, be it Idols, Prophets or Saints, you automatically commit an act of worship to these objects, violating the 1st Commandment! If you ask them, then you hope for them, for those who are Created by God and who are not even able to help themselves and are completely dependent on God! Jesus peace be upon him prophesied about the Comforter and about the one who will talk about him and will not speak from himself! There is not a single person in History who came with a Revelation from God, announced the future and confirmed the Messiahship of Jesus peace be upon him, except Muhammad peace be upon him and the blessing of Allah! The name of the Prophet may God bless him and Greet him is mentioned in the Gospel and the "Old Testament", in the Song of Songs 5:16 and in the Prophecy about the Spirit of Truth from John 16-13 and the Comforter, where the Greek word "periklitos" corresponds to the word "Ahmad" in the meaning of "praised", it is also said about who will come After the Messiah, peace be upon him and he will talk about the Messiah, peace be upon him! He will announce the future and the Spirit of Truth will come! Interestingly, the Quran itself is called the Spirit and elsewhere Al Furqan or Discernment! About the Future that will announce: The prophecies of the Koran are fulfilled like the capture of Constantinople or the events taking place before the Day of Judgment, it describes scientific phenomena discovered in the 21st century, such as the development of the embryo, the functions of mountains, the extraterrestrial origin of iron, the main theses of the Big Bang theory, etc

The First Commandment says "I am your Lord God, may you have no other gods besides me". Do you want legislate that? If so then what happens to freedom of religion? Do you want to penalize those who worship other gods or other faiths? Do you want to penalize who wants to leave Christianity, too? How do we do? What do you want to do?

The justice that the Lord's grace requires is turning away from our sinful desires and behaviors, which is called repentance, and turning towards His holy and righteous love by committing ourselves to live the same (a holy and righteous life). That's the way His grace manifests itself in those who truly love Him and live for Him. We don't love Him when we keep on sinning without any remorse or repentance. So, the justice the Lord desires is our salvation and sanctification. Not a Lord, Lord that doesn't do what He says! In Christ, Andrew

At the end of the day there has to be an absolute standard of conduct. Sadly, today’s society is steeped in a “feelings” oriented world view. At its simplest it is situational. When there is a standard for conduct (the Bible God’s Word) regardless of “feelings” it destroys all alternatives.

In Biblical times, ( think of Abraham sending his servant for a wife for Isaac, and other cases like that), the couple did not even know each other, had not seen each other, but they trusted GOD, and left it to God, to decide that they would love each other and be happy together. God put that love in their hearts for their future partner. I imagine in those days the husbands were Godfearing men and obeyed God as to how to treat their wives...which is something that does not happen so much today, even with Christian couples...Not saying it never happens, because it does, and I have witnessed a few couples who waited for God to show them their partners for life.
