My wifes therapist for depression and anxiety recommended this song to her also. I play it for her and try to dance with her when she has bad days.

I'm a situation in life where I have to disagree with part of the song. The easiest time to talk about Blitz Spirit is when you *are* knee deep in shit, because then Blitz Spirit is all you have. When it's "do or die", humans are remarkably good at "doing", and it's far harder, when things end, to re-orient yourself to the non-survival way of thinking. A friend of mine has spent the last 6 years fighting suicidal thoughts and depression. Sometimes, those came to a head and I (or another friend) had to talk her down. Sometimes we got alarmingly close to losing her ("gun to the head" level), and I had gotten so accustomed to that danger and dealing with it that now that she's doing great, now that she's fine and there's far less risk of something going horrible real fast, I'm kind of left wondering "what now?" EDIT: For now, my solution is to take metaphorical inventory and listen to Frank Turner. That man can write a song that can make me feel, no matter what emotions that might be. Thanks, Frank, for years of good music.

The word is “blithe” spirit meaning calm or tranquil. So you’re right, he’s saying it’s easy to talk about being calm/chilling when you aren’t fighting your own demons.

the fact this only has 30,000 views is criminal, talentless people are gaining millions of views with awful 'music'
