The reason I sometimes envy stupid people is because they do not have the capacity to think thoughts like these and mindfuck themselves.

Sometimes I think you read so much Kierkegaard, Sarte, Camus, etc. You should exhile for a while and try to enjoy nature and meaningless existence.

chin up frankie. "There probably isn't any meaning in life. Perhaps you can find something interesting to do while you are alive." to me, life is all about enjoying your time here, if you are not enjoying yourself, you're doing it wrong.

hard work does eventually pay off. not only in society, education, the workplace, and relationships, but also by personal health. physical of course, more obvious, diet, rest, exercise. mental; word puzzles, basic and complex learning, etc. But then there's the least obvious. emotional/spiritual very much part of the mental. which i see as the individual that the person is aka the spirit. emotional learning, life's experiences, God/Jesus/universe, morals, virtues.
@ahhhh0112 жыл бұрын
why did I sub to you?

Then i see that there can be a connection between the physical, mental, and spiritual health. positive attitude = attracting positive vibes/prayer/meditation = time learned habit/gift/hard work of discipline to calm the self/mind/spirit. calm and clear mind = better concentration, contributing to a healthier body. Also think of the practice of preservation and cultivation of energy. We are vessels of light, and one may even see the benefit of hard work such as refrain from masturbation or sex.

Thats why Allan watts stated "The reason for life is to be alive. it's so simple and so oblivious. Yet everyone runs around in a great panic as if it was necessary to achieve something beyond themselves". Life...so paradoxical and ironic. Quite the enigma...but still...Fuck this bull shit call life!

Frank I swear you just echoed my thoughts on life there. Although I do find a reason to live, the reason I live is meaningless and so is everyone else's. So basically, live for yourself and do whatever the fuck you wanna do.

Dude, your theroy on the meaning of existence is centuries old, like Darwin old. Evolution is not exactly one dimensional as explained by Darwin through the perspectives of Evolutionary Biologists but rather through a combination of genetics/epigenetics/developmental/societal effects. You need to keep up to date with these knowledge man, this, coming from a 16 years old.

If you're sure life has meaning, you become cautious and calculating on behalf of distant objectives that have no lasting significance. You become constricted and deprived. If you're sure life has no meaning, you passively permit yourself to wither and rot. If you're not sure if you can make a heavy deadlift without injury, but feel reckless and self-destructive (while secretly still caring at a dimly conscious level), you are sure to have a surge of vital energy and to make the lift.

Why can't the higher power just be yourself? Why does it have to be Jesus? Jesus was just a man. And when these Abrahamic religions came along they changed the power from within to power without. So now people feeling incapable reach out to someone (something) else for the strength that's already w/in them
