You can judge whether or not someone has mental aesthetics by the photography works, drawings, or films that they make. That's the best way...maybe music. I guess I'll make more videos about this

CREATIVITY itself is useful for survival...people extend creativity to "artistic creativity" because making art just happened to require a lot of creativity. But creativity itself extends beyond just making art.

The endeavors I engage in (music, art, athletics) do not really activate the same narrow spectrums that standard IQ tests measures. So no, I do not IQ. And I don't go around judging people's IQ based on KZbin comments either.

Artistic creativity might not be quantified or measurable...sure. So what? That doesn't make them less valuable to society than the sciences and other measurable domains. Why does everything have to chopped into pieces, neatly divided in boxes, and labeled?

YOu should check out Howard Gardner's books about autism and visual thinking. A lot of great visualizers can't use words very well, yet it frees up their right brain to think outside the box.

I say this in a good way but Frank Yang sort of reminds me of Bruce Lee in a way not only because he's the same race as him but because Frank has philosophical and intellectual views on life, just like how Bruce Lee expressed his philosophical views on life. And Frank is unique and he builds his strength physically and mentally (bodybuilding,reading/feeding his mind) similar to Bruce Lee. Frank is unique and controversial, the same with Bruce Lee. Anyways that's all I have to say. Great video and thank you Frank Yang for always speaking from the heart. Peace and keep up the good work!

Also, creativity is best expressed under some sort of constrains anyway. If an artist is free to do anything, he is most likely going to come up with nothing...just like how free will in itself is not a concept, it must be measured up against and operated within, certain deterministic framework.

Just because it can be measured it doesnt mean it is automatically "tools for survival", and just because something is created without restrains it doesn't mean it's useless in the survival sense. I mean you can use artstic creativity to create fuckign awesome weapons without rules can still use to kill a bear, no? Isn't that better for survival than if you are stuck with some restrained rules about how to make a weapon?

Even he thought it was difficult using language to describe these theories and had difficult time articulating himself. Da Vinci was also another visual thinker whose notebooks were full of spelling errors. Nietzsche even said that written language is the language of the herds... meaning that to TRULY express yourself, you must do it with music and arts.

Let's do a thought experiment. Give every man on the planet 10 million dollars and tell him to achieve a 40 inch vertical leap and perfect pitch within 2 years. How many people on the planet do you think can do it.

Music is a great way to express emotions, but if we're playing some composition,it may mean we're just expressing the authors emotions through our work. Of course, that same music may show our genuine thoughts and feelings too. However, the real deal is to be able to compose yourself and show the others what's inside your mind. Personally, I am not able to do that, but if I was, I would play something with Chopin's style.

What made my public fucking into art was the fact that the Taiwanese news media called it art because I told them it was art after they decided to interview me, and possibly prosecute me. To be honest, I just did it because I felt like it. It was never meant to be art in the first place. It became art though

Frank, all these three 'qualities' are effective for starters. If you want to keep a woman, though, you need much more. That's why some men can create deep, joyful relationships that last with women that love them, while others are trying unsuccesfully.

I already settled the case with fines, thanks. I think our difference is not the definition of creativity vs logic. I already agreed that they are quite the opposite. Our difference is in the way these mental domains are applied to different endeavors. I believe scientific inspirations can come from the sort of "artistic creativity" you speak of, and vice versa.

I think that depends more on where you're looking/who you're looking for. These three steps are supposed to improve yourself, and they might help you impress lesser "enlightened" partners, but the physical aesthetics will also help you attract another kind of partner, one who can actually appreciate your mental aesthetics.

Artistic creativity is subjected to no constrains? I call that bullshit. THere are a lot of structures that goes into composing music, making films... Some arts are less constrained than others, but even the freest arts are constrained by form, techniques, personal and social obstacles and so on. To simply say that artistic creativity has no constrain only shows that you know nothing about art history or the process of making art.

Frank what is your advice to people who genetically have health problems that make them ugly and unaesthetic? I mean what would you do if you had some health condition or terminal disease that prevented you from working out? If you had severe eczema all over your face? They are forced to place importance on things other that physical aesthetics? I just wonder how different you would be if you weren't genetically attractive (facial structure and skin). Do you ever wonder?

I believe reproduction is the purpose to life and love is one type of bond that allows us opportunity to increase our chances of speading and protecting genes. The same can be said about culture and art. However, i am not quite sure how deviations from these areas benefit reproduction. i think possibly a person who deviates too far from the normal (statiscal definiton) have a hard time living... therefore IMO to be lively one must invest in type of activity that aids reproduction.

frank, frank, frank... i like your videos but you have much to learn. pretty much if you're considered "good" at ANYTHING that has some pull in the society you live in, it will have the same affect on women. it also depends on how you use said skill. for example, a very good sense of humor, marked with good timing and the know how of when to use it. this coupled with a good personality will be just as effective.

is the telos and drive behind all of your energy expenditures really just to get women? why do you define and subordinate 'art' as 'a means to attract women'? body, i understand, is a very socially oriented goal. but i think heart and mind will, at the higher levels, become something almost entirely in and of itself. their value does not lie in how they help you get chicks. looking forward to your thoughts on art.

Frank I disagree with one thing. You don't have to look good and have a good physique if your goals are to do well with women. You only have to look DECENT which isnt hard....everything else comes from your head. Your mind makes you, your persona, your image, your confidence, the vibes you give off, at the base of it everything women are attracted to come from your mind. I feel sorry for dudes ('forever alones') who are in the gym thinking it will make them more successful with women.
