Great Stinkfoot-style solo! Whoever made this audience recording was very well-positioned with high-end equipment, probably a Marantz tape deck, kind of large at the time, not easy to sneak through the gate. I'd say this bootleg was an inside job perpetrated by Palladium staff. Smothers was always busting tapers who made it past the front door, so high quality sound like this was rare.

Frank Zappa, and writer Shel Silverstein, were the only two guys with the guts to put out a true pro-suicide song; rather than one that just wallows in self-loathing. I'd love to find more songs like this one!
