You should do a comparison but I think this guy is over priced. I also don't like that the head is made with latex. They could've just made it out of plastic since the eyes and mouth don't move. I am surprised this prop wasn't in the market sooner. Personally I think the Home Depot version is superior. Thanks for this video. Very informational and clear.

Exact same price as the Home Depot Frankenstein's monster retailed for, funny that. Clothes are much better than the Home Depot Frankenstein. Looks much closer to the OG movie than the Home Depot version, BUT.. that said.. when I think of Frankenstein's Monster I don't think of the look from the OG movie. I think Home Depot / SVI did a great job on the face as it looks more to me like what I think Frankenstein's Monster looks like. This one looks like he's trying to grab something or do squats. The Home Depot version with the facial animation / servos simply blows this out of the water. I'm going to the thrift store to pick up a black jacket and pants for my Home Depot (SVI) Frankenstein's Monster

I’m seeing a lot of negativity towards this prop. I think it’s actually pretty decent, though it could be better. The one that Home Depot had was done better animation wise, but even that one has a few things I don’t like about it. This one’s lunging motion is pretty cool, but again, it could be better. I also feel like Spirit came out with this just to compete with Home Depot’s version.

I like animation on the HD one more, but this one looks more like Karloff, and I like the lurching movement. The HD one has been know to have issues, like poor arm welds, and the eyes being out of sync. I already had to exchange one of my HD Frankensteins because the arm motor was starting to malfunction. The replacement also came with a defective head, and wonky eyes. I just don’t see the HD one lasting too long. So selling my HD one, and getting this one.

Home Depot version has much better animation, especially with the mouth and eyes! Blows this guy out of the water. HD version has garbage clothing though, but that isn't hard to fix with a trip to the thrift store.
