I read an article that Michael Jackson did in fact see this video and thought it was hilarious. He had a good sense of humor.

Yeah, not to talk about dead people.. but that was one of the big differences between Prince and Michael Jackson. MJ actually could laugh at people making fun of him. Like all of the Weird Al songs, MJ gave permission for all the parodies, Prince never would

@PeterSedesse - Prince had a great sense of humor. Evidence 1. Prince and Jay Leno played pranks on one another alot. When Prince appeared on Jay's show they talked about the pranks they pulled on each other. Evidence 2. Prince appeared on The Muppets Tonight show. He did a funny skit where he was dressed as a farmer singing a funny song about an alligator with a country accent. Evidence 3. When Prince found out about the Dave Chapelle skit of the basketball game at his house. Prince thought it was halarious. Prince thought it was so funny that he used Dave Chappelle dressed like him on his single Breakfast Can Wait.There is also footage of Prince making jokes with the members of his band at some of his concerts.

@tempsitch56322 жыл бұрын
@@LT-lr4qe Yup. Chappele isn’t a good standup. He’s not a good writer. He’s a funny guy with odd ideas that he delivers in a kind of funny way. But his standup was average for 20 years until Chappele Show hit on comedy central and then suddenly kids with no exposure to good standup think he’s a comic genius. Tommy is a little more gifted and it actually holds him back. He has those crazy comedy and smart comedy capabilities like Robin Williams. I guarantee you that if you gave Tommy an incredibly difficult serious dramatic role to him, he could nail it. What was the last serious thing Chappele did ? I think he played the black guy at Tom Hanks’ job in Sleepless In Seattle.

Holy crap! I remember those days too. I specifically remember being, I think, 9 or 10, and talking with one of my little best friends on the phone one night, and then we both happened to check the time, and when we realized what time it was, we both quickly hurried up to get off the phone so we could watch the premiere of Michael's "Do You Remember the Time" video. And this was back when his videos premiered on network television. I think it was on CBS or NBC or something. And then afterwards, I remember my friend called me back immediately and we gabbed about how awesome it was for, like, 20 minutes straight. And then the next morning when I got back to school, I remember Michael's video was the only thing all my other classmates were talking about. Those were the damn days, man!

Its crazy how the world stopped when a Michael Jackson album came out. The music video Premiered simultaneously on Fox, MTV and VH1 and the ratings were equal to Super Bowl numbers.
@randeepatillo19822 жыл бұрын
@@periechontology I think it just proves how much of a GOAT Michael really is, because I can't recall another musical artist in pop culture since him who has been afforded that level of treatment whenever new music came out. I remember they treated any new music video from Michael like some kind of premiere event on major network television...not just the usual music video channels. You would have thought the president was getting ready to address the nation or something. It was always that big of an event. It truly was insane...
