Nice! I've always used a single stage Lee challenger press and have loaded thousands of rounds with zero issues...!! I have a hand press I use sometimes to deprime with and a Lee hand primer.

A good inexpensive priming tool is the Lee Bench Prime tool. You need to buy a set of inserts for the different calibers, but it works great. You need to take caution in installing the cartridge inserts because you can damage the plastic that goes through the hole. Other than that, they work great. I put mine on a small board to use on the bench or even in my lap. I have used hand primer seaters, but they don't work as well. Lee also makes a hand primer seater that uses the same inserts. I do own both and own their earlier versions as well. I am going to purchase one of those F-1's for using at my farm to work loads up. I have two different presses at home for volume loading. I also have a Frankfort Co-Ax press at my farm. It works well but the F-1 will work for other things better than the Co-Ax that need the special bushings. Wishing you well on your reloading.

Decap with your sizing die. I used the Lee Auto Prime for priming all my Brass. Much easier than using a press to seat primers.

I am on Ohio, not far from Portsmouth were I would cross over into KY. Anyway, I have 4 presses. I plan to keep two and get rid of the others. One I will be hitting rid of is a Lyman turret press that holds 6 dies. If you ever want to live up for cheap, let me know. I have many powders also a few pistol powders. Most are rifle powders.

The turret press is a good thing to hang onto. You can put in bullet puller and de-prime dies so when one needs to pull bullets or just de-prime. I have the 8 station that is a second press at home just to do that and temporarily work up loads with new calibers before I get a chance to set them up on toolheads for my Dillon 550. Just suggesting you just keep it as a secondary. I have presses set up at my farm and home. I got rid of a single stage that I have to replace now because of my secondary farm set up. I actually donated it to a friend's son to start reloading. I am going to purchase the F-1 for my farm to go with the Frankfort Co-Ax I have there already to work loads up.

Good evening Rob. I’m glad to see you’re getting back into reloading. I look forward to some good videos on your progress. I have been reloading for less than a year and you are totally right on the calibers you can save money by reloading. 44 mag and special, 38, 357 and 45 LC. I can’t reload 9 mm as cheap as I can buy it.

Nothing wrong with a beginner press since when/if you decide to upgrade to something else, all of your dies should work fine with the new one. I started with a Lee hand press and eventually moved up to a Lyman 8 turret press. I keep the Lee around for whenever I want to do some depriming or resizing and watch KZbin at the same time.

This press is aluminum not cast iron. Frankford Arsenal is very misleading with the advertising of this press. They say it has a solid steel frame because they are referring to the two columns as the frame, but everything that actually matters on this press is cast aluminum ... the top, bottom, all linkages... all cast aluminum. It's no wonder that they do not mention anywhere on the box or in the instructions sheet that it has cam over, but rather state adjustments using the hard stop.

Just what is the big deal? Cast aluminum will do the job unless you are King Kong and are doing something wrong the aluminum is fine.
