Frankford arsenal Vibra prime | Dillon 650 tube filling - no adapters

I'm glad someone did a video about this method. I discovered this quite a while ago and it just works. I try to steer my reloading friends this way but the reputation of the Vibra Prime always gets in the way. I have filled Dillon primer tubes with many tens of thousands of primers and this method is by far the best. Even the shake tray works really well if you hold it flat on a smooth surface and move it around in a circular motion. I do mine on a cleaning mat and it will correctly orient 100 primers in less than 5 seconds. I have also colored the large primer outlet red with a Sharpie because I only use Small primers. If you try to use small primers out of the large exit, it will not go well. But small primers out the small exit works like a dream. I can load 10 tubes (1000 primers) in less than 10 minutes with at most, one uncaught upside down primer in every 10,000 or so. I get maybe 1 in 3000 that I see go in upside down, but if you are watching, you catch it and can address it. I have used lots of Winchester, lots of CCI and a few thousand Federal and all work fine. There is a certain angle in the X and Y orientation of the tray that seems to work best, but you can easily figure that out by moving it around while running. Stop making mods to this system and just do what is done in this video!

Have you tried it without primers? Heard that it has nightmare reliability with Winchester primers.

Done 8 packs of Winchester small pistol fine. Could be something they addressed on the new model maybe

I saw one of these Frankford Arsenal Vibra Prime Primer Tube Fillers and I just had to have one as it looked like it made filling primer tubes so easy. Well I got mine and it looked easy enough to setup but it has been anything but easy to use. Primers would just stop at the entry hole and the rest would not go in. I even have sent it back to where I bought it from so they could send it back to their supplier and they sent it back and said it worked fine. Not a chance. I tried both small and large primers and the same thing kept happenning. Primers would just keep blocking the hole where they are supposed to go down. For an item that is supposed to make the job easier, it has not. I am open to any ideas to rectify the problem if you have a solution.

Sounded like the old style problems, but they would have seen that when returned. What I do to keep flow is keep all the primers on the end away from the hole and slowly rotate so its a slow avalanche towards the hole, leading down to a single line of primers going in. If I turn to fast they do just pile up. I seen mod videos of people having to file these for burs on the opening if you can see where they are flipping. Ultimately if a product doesn't work they need to replace or refund.

Slow rotate so they slowly just avalanche roll off the top only. If the whole group shifts it will block. If that happens I shake them back away and slow tilt back in.

I cannot even get the dam primers to even fall out without the tube . Not sure why it’s so hard .

You mean without the factory tube? Or fall down the hole with no tube at all; like onto the ground. If the 2nd one maybe the hole has a bur or something?

Target Time with primers in the tray put the button not tube and nothing falls out with the tube same thing. So took a reamer made the hole a bit larger nope it was hanging up on the side walls filed them just a bit reamed the primer tube as well . Now there at least going in still not great. Would I but this tool again HELL NO . Will no even RECOMMEND IT TRASH !

honestly i would still buy it at $56. i cant remember what i paid for it. but it is so nice being able to load 6 or 7 primer tubes this quickly before a loading sessions. i usually do it the night before just to be ready when i get off work or a day off to load
