Frankfurt (Oder). East European Dimension

Our video tells the story of Frankfurt (Oder), its old (1506-1811) and new (founded in 1991) universities, and the variety of East European dimensions in its history: from Ukrainian reception of Heinrich von Kleist`s works to the wooden church built by the Russian prisoners of the First World War, from Soviet war memorials on both sides of the Oder to the fate of one of the oldest Jewish cemeteries in Central and Eastern Europe.
