i will not be ashamed to say this; being in my 70's and having lived through the birth of the rock/pop song era into its zenith in the '60's and '70's, "Venus" by Frankie Avalon is my #1 most favorite of them all. The words, melody and Frankie's voice all culminate into a plethora of memories of the late 1950's in my mind! What a glorious time and era from the late '50's to the early '60's we had back then. I sure do miss them!

I also abandoned rap too. I started wearing vintage clothing from the 1950s and living a life. Though I've been judged a few times wearing vintage clothing but I don't care. I wanted to be like as if I were in the 50s. I have a 1950s radio, 1950s camera and I'm saving up for a 1959 Cadillac Coupe. So I'm trying to live a life as if I am in the 1950s. I'm 21 years old right now so I'm young to be wearing vintage clothing lol

When the melody was "King", everybody in the family could listen to the radio together, artists presented themselves with class, you could clearly understand the lyrics, and these songs made "The American Songbook" full of classic songs.

That is so true, after I started listening to 50s and 60’s music, I found that I could relate and listen to the songs with my parents and grandparents which is something you could definitely not do if you picked a random song off the radio today.

A dreamy teenager's song and the video is very good. I like the way he moves singing around the manequins dreaming about having a girl which is what we do when we fell the desire of a girl's company and have none. I still recall those days in my early teen years and how I envied my Pals who had steadies whilst I had no one except my own family. It is all part of growing up.

Venus is the god of love. Venus is your imagination. Remain faithful in your thought and imagination of your true love, one day very soon as the thought grows root, something magical will happen in your life. Do not doubt. Doubting is working to oppose venus' secret work. Faith and imagination is helping venus' work.
