If you didn't know it sounds like they based it a little off of Freddie Freaker! One of my all time favorite 80's call line commercial mascots! I was recommended the movie as my username on a lot of things is Freddie Freaker! If you watch the commercial the puppetry is very stilted so that might be why they chose to do that! Great video!
