I was more a bit than 10 years old and I loved it! :). Probably I also did not understand the sense but the song was great! ... from these years and this program I also remember Shakin Stevens, Limahl, Duran Duran, Wham, GM, Elton John....hehe.... eh those beutiful young times!....;)

I was 11 years old,and all I knew was I liked the song, no other connotations. Long story short, I remember holding my mums hand as we went into the local record shop. My mum asked for the Relax song as it wasent on the shelf. The shop keeper said yes we have it and reached under the till. Moral of story is I just liked it as a song and nothing more.🎉

Go around sonic and A&W with this song thundering out of my speakers than drive to the lakes and do the same. I never all this time untill this very moment knew what the lyrics were. Yes @mauroro427, evidently more liberal than other communist ruled countries like Poland, Ceskoslovakia, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria, not even mentioning the Soviet Union. My first visit was in Belgrade (Beograd) around early seventies and I returned after that visit a few times more and can declare that there was much more possible on every field and aspect than in the other communist countries I've mentioned.

Radio 1 DJ and kids tv presenter Mike Read was the idiot who announced live on air that he would never play Relax on the radio ever again, and the rest of the BBC quickly followed suit. It gave Frankie the kind of publicity and notoriety that money just couldn’t buy. Good on ya Mike, you dumb old prude!

I got to see Frankie Goes to Hollywood back in 1984 at a small club in NY, it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to! They rocked, unbelievable energy present and they sounded great.
