Frankie is a legend within Impact and he’s held every title but the Impact World Championship. It’s a title that’s eluded him for years and as soon as he became X-Devision Champion and decided to use option c to get a world title shot I knew his time had come. Let’s not forget that every person to my knowledge that has used option c has gone on to become world champion at Bound For Glory. Josh Alexander has to drop the title at some point and Frankie is the right person to drop it to

He isn't signed to Impact right now, but he's very much part of the roster and likely will be for a while. I mean I get your point, but they gave the Impact world Championship to Christian while he was signed to AEW so.

No one with a big name has held, and defended the thing in awhile. Josh was the last one but again he cashed it in after his run.

AEW and Impact no longer have a working relationship. AEW has a working relationship and deal with NJPW which is why you see their belts on Air also AEW bought RoH which is why their titles are being seen

I like the option C stipulation, but I think they should add another clause to it. If you decide to vacate the big X for a world title match, you should not be able to challenge for the big X again…..you know, this extra stipulation will sorta force a new main eventer in kayfabe.

Option C was created to elevate X division talent to the main event picture. Austin Ares used it to become a world champion.

Basically the X-division use to have its own ppv and whenever the ppv would come around the current X-division champion would be given the option to relinquish the x-division belt for a shot at the world title.
