I prefer this version as opposed to the Television Series take. This one has the pitch taken down a half to a full step and makes the vocals smoother and not quite as forced. Don't get me wrong, the TV one definitely has it's moments.

This version is from the 1961 album Hell bent for leather. All the songs on that album were recorded in December 1960 and early 1961, except for Rawhide. Rawhide was recorded in 1958 and edited in 1960 for this album.
