My Dad met Frankie Laine when he was starting his career. He gave my Dad an autographed picture. I have it laminated and a note my Dad sent with it. I love Frankies music so the picture and note mean alot to me. My Dad will be 89 in July and has Dementia but knows all our family. We made amends the month before he was diagnosed. Praise God. 🙏🌈🦋❤🌹 From a proud Canadian, thank you Frankie. 🇨🇦

There is no singer, according to me who could sing like Frankie Laine. I mean he could sing them all, jass, popular, Western. I am almost 82 years old and still feel that he was the best.

My Father was a huge fan of Frankie Laine and met him on a number of occasions when he came to the UK My Father passed away last year aged 83 with quite severe dementia, but we made sure that music at his funeral, was his beloved Frankie Laine and Nat King Cole This song sung by Frankie Laine is very emotional and always makes me think of my dear old Dad x

@@alangodfrey505 thank you - I actually have all my Dads Frankie Laine records and albums at present. Some of them are signed by the man himself - would you be interested in them, or know of anyone else that might want them - apparently there’s no market for them and will probably and up in the tip if no one wants them? Please let me know - revd@btinternet.com

In my humble opinion, only four entertainers were and or capable of singing this great song. The writer and original, Mr Marty Robbins. Then Frankie Laine. Of course Elvis. And the the lessor known Johnny Clarke. Saw Mr Clarke perform several shows in the Virginia Tidewater area. Outstanding. Showman and fantastic voice. Don' t know where he is today. If memory serves me correctly, he had a girlfriend he called Precious , and he drank like a fish. Where is he now? He was a fantastic talent.

What a wonderful man. I was so blessed to have known and spent time with Frankie in the 60's and seventies in Las Vegas, he was so special. He had one song he played for me which he wanted to publish, produce at the time. I think it was called "Dammit isn't Gods middle name", I think that was the title. I would love to find that song - - thanks, DB
