Far better than the 1957 version; more intimate; with the late-night, bar room studio sound evoking a piano player playing into the eyes of a smiling, smoking, smoky blonde, leaning near the keys, much more successfully than the faltering, jumpy accompaniment, and unnatural vocalizing of the sexless later take, ten years later.
