Very useful thx for posting. I heared from many famous teachers that "Do not ever turn ur wrist when u turn the follower, the wrist should be fixed and the rotation should be initiated from the shoulder, as rotating the wrist cause unbalance for the follower!

I love this guy's dancing he's such a great soul to see move and I like that he highlights the hand in the small of the back, but much of the information he offers is questionable if not flat out wrong. You shouldn't rotate the wrist. That connection he makes and the way he leads that double makes my butthole pucker right up. On top of imbalancing your follower it is downright dangerous. Maintain the "african-ness"? Mambo is far removed from the type of dance he's trying to mimic and that hand and body position are completely unsuitable to lead many combinations (such as the double/triple). The wrist turns are a band-aid on that (and other) failure(s). Yes you *can* lead a double/triple/however many turns this way just like you can get from A to B without using your turn signal. You make life difficult for yourself and others and your approach is objectively wrong.

Smh…anyone who as to think this much to respond to a lead for a turn is not dancing. When you are teaching beginners the idea is to keep it as simple as possible not as complex as you can make it. Look for a teacher who simplifies movement not complicates it so they can boost their own confidence. Also look to the students of the teacher. If they are the greatest of the greatest I can guarantee that the reason they are is because their instruction is incredibly simple to digest. Case in point his teacher is ET. Every watch ET instruct? The master of simplicity is the teacher you want especially as a beginner student. Also how is picking up the woman a resolution when you are making first contact?

SMH he is making the assumption that his entire class of students are auditory learners speaking for 10 mins straight and also his verbiage is completely left-brained and not all students will be able to grasp this. There is not visual or kinesthetic learning going on here and nothing more kinesthetic than partner dancing. All these people want is to dance and if they are beginners learn a few moves well enough to connect with their partner and feel joy not to hear twenty minutes of discourse on I’m so logical and smart and guess who’s on the elevator or not. “It’s very simple.”
