I loved Frankie from the age of 11 when l was 16 I saw him in B,ham and again some years later in Great Yarmouth theatres, he is still my no.1 today.

Met him when I was 14 in 1961,he was an ambassador for boys clubs around the U.K. I played 5 a side football with him at Anfield boys club.He was terrific and you could see he enjoyed every minute of it.

He was my grandfather’s first cousin and grew up together in the Wirral. They were great friends until he became famous and then didn’t bother to get in touch with my grandfather after that
