Love you videos! I had an Aussie almost 14 yrs, she past in 2020. I was fortunate to be home on the farm her last 10 years, she never left my side. If I cried she couldn't get close enough, if I used a particular swear word in any context she would head to the bedroom or the stairs to go inside. My Storm absolutely was in tune with me 100% of the time, I miss her everydaye

what you say makes perfect sense, and animals are very attuned to picking up physical and mental cues from us that we humans miss. love your videos. don’t change athing, don’t worry about sounding spiritual or not. That part where you are chasing him to touch the “bump” was soooo cute, and obviously, Frankie enjoyed it

Huge game changer and trick for getting dog hair out of carpet in the jeep...or any vehicle is a lava stone. It looks just like a pumice stone and you can find them pretty much at any auto store. Doesn't work much on cloth seats but it pulls it right out of the carpet like magic!. I have a jeep and an aussie as well as german shepherd and this simple stone changed my life!! Lol funny as that sounds

I knew someone who used their mini Aussie as an emotional crutch and it breaks my heart to this day, thinking about the doggo. It was such an anxiety riddled, fearfully submissive, high-strung dog because her owner was an addict with self-diagnosed CPTSD with extreme anxiety… The dog was never socialized and hardly went on walks outside to potty…When her owner would stay with me, I would take her for long jogs and she would be sooooo incredibly happy. She started running up my stairs and would wiggle butt all over my living room after a couple days of not seeing each other. Her owner (my ex) actually started to get very jealous of the affection/attention I was getting from her mini, two days a week. At 3 years old, I was the first person to trim her nails… poor thing was click clacking all over the place… She also had never been to the groomers and was really overweight (no chance of feeling her ribs) due to eating cheap crap dog food. One time, her owner opened up a big can of stinky wet food that was bought from the corner store and emptied the entire thing into a bowl. I was shocked. A big part of the reason we broke up is because she didn’t want to be a better dog owner to her sweet dog who doesn’t even know what kind of life she’s missing out on. Breaks my heart…

Canadian dog parks seem so much better than American ones. The ones in America (at least where I live) are usually just a fenced-in patch of grass. And they're not the safest either -- there are a lot of great owners and dogs who go, but there are also a lot of not-so-great owners whose dogs have hurt other dogs at the park. I wish our dog parks looked like yours/Frankie's! I'd love to bring my Mini Aussie to a dog park like that.

My dog is an empath too! When I am annoyed he runs away! Maybe it is the screaming. In all seriousness I have noticed that he is generally easier when I am not feeling well (which I must communicate through body language or behavior). Like he decides to be extra cooperative to help me out. He's a smooth collie so generally attentive and smart. But the fact that he seems to possess a sort of real noticeable kindness is the absolute best thing about him. My previous dog was a lovable dumb jock. Kinda macho and often a D&%k. My current dog is a sweet geek. Kinda sensitive and sometimes timid, but always aware of everyone around him and one step ahead of where you thought he'd be. He is the kind of dog where you don't get into a verbal fight with someone near him because he will feel bad.

I have an aussie too! Can you do a video on walking/hiking/running safety? My aussie and I were charged 3 different times by really aggressive dogs while on a trail run (all different trails). Fortunately, nothing happened - but it left me really shaken and afraid.

Joey, try using packing tape to remove fur. Lay a large strip down, pat it down and pull off. Anything stronger than packing tape may affect the jeeps carpet.

Hi! Have you ever had any experiences with your aussies getting less social over time? As my mini grows older, she is less and less comfortable with new dogs although she seemingly has gotten the same amount of exposure.

Hey Joey, there is no shame in being spiritual. True spirituality means intimacy with existence in all its colours, in other words cultivating sensitivity to the world. Of course having a pet is a spiritual experience. So is having a romantic partner, or just about any other part of being alive. Spirituality is about noticing that dialectic between you and the world/others, inviting to a deeper connection to yourself, taking responsibility for internalised patterns that manifest through how you act/talk and so on. Love the videos. I'm thuroughly considering getting a mini aussie myself, but am in doubt atm. Any words of advice regarding "the right time" to get a dog. I'm active, loving and caring and do my best to approach things whole heartedly. best ,Alex

Lol the amount of dog hair in my car is crazy. I clean it every week but there is still so much hair in there. The problem is I can’t afford to get my car detailed. The one time I did it was messy again in like a week. The car does look good though

Most dogs key in on your emotions. They also can smell chemical changes in your body that tell them what mood your in. Some times. And some breeds are better at this than others. No wander,, there called mans best friend.

Whenever my dogs see me putting my shoes on they flip out and run to the door and run around me because they think they’re going to the park, but sometimes we’re not. I don’t know what to do. It’s gotten out of control. Our 8 month old also shows aggression toward other people or dogs at the park. He loves frisbee but I am nervous about seeing that reaction. Any advice? You should do training videos!

Hey! I love your videos too and I know how amazing this dogs are ; Franky is exact as my old fried ..his eyes his personality and so much more! I just want to share with you something that I learn with my ousie; vets won’t tell you that the meds for ticks only protect them for Lyme but not for anaplasmosis which can be transfer if your dog gets a bite from them and anaplasmosis is mortal … causes internal bleeding. Also the bravecto and other meds used for ticks are all carcinogenic and not even been approved as bravecto are under trial. I share because my ausie did not have to die and did because anaplasmosis causes Internal bleeding and he got a tumor on the spleen cause by it. Vets don’t tell you this. My own also started having bad issues with his tummy. I will suggest that you test him for anaplasmosis and use alternative tick prevention more holistic before he gets damage by the standard meds. I share also because I love dogs too… All the best 💓💓💓💓

nothing wrong with spirituality ;) Frankie probably also notices the diffirence because of how you smell. Which changes with every emotion. Did you know that? And dogs ofcours smell way more than humans, so he already knows how you're feeling when you're just awake for 2 seconds :P water is very important. For humans to. Actualy it should be a habit to first drink a glass of water 10 minutes before you eat. To flush you stomage. maybe it works the same for dogs as well?
you are NOT a bad dog parent
