Really like how you save and restore these Franklin mint and Danbury mint cars, I do the same.

wow some of these models are like 50 bucks a piece where i live. and they still hold up to this day considering we've been flooded by a sea of 1/43 diecasts where nothing opens. Seeing fully opening Franklin Mints a great change of pace

These models really set the stage for high-end model car manufacturing, as a lot of their features such as carpeted interiors and rubberized seats would make their way into 1/18 scale upper-end models by the late 1990's.

Good afternoon, I just happened to find this site today while I was searching for information about the secondary market for selling my Franklin & Danbury Mint car collection. Nice job on the presentation of your cars. Can you suggest some of the best sites for selling?

Hi I have a question for you! Do you happen to know if the 1967 Corvette Franklin mint diecast model had any type of battery in it like a ROUND battery? My grandma gave my nine-month-old son the car to play with and he is at the age where he puts everything in his mouth and I’m concerned there might have been a battery in there! thanks

I don’t believe any Franklin Mint models came with batteries, but I could be wrong. None of the models in this video had any.

I started a collection. Many of the Franklin Mint cars have Certificates and Letters that go with them plus tags attached to them. The Certificates and the letters have numbers at the bottom of both items. The certificates and letter numbers do not match. I thought that was fraud. It is not. This is how Ftanklin Mint manufactured them from the 1980s to present. Years ago Franklin Mint would put on each certificate lihem 1 out of 500 produced before the 1980s. You just have to be cautious with sellers look to see if other items are for sale. See if the item you are pricing has a price in the middle compared to others who are ave that car. Aga8n, as he stat3d, lo9k at the condition of the car before you buy.

I forgot about those little tags they used to tie to the models. That would be neat if any remained with the Franklin Mint models I have.

Hi Nock, Franklin Mint cars were great back then but by today's standards they're obsolete and lowe tech by modern standards. Plz reply to my contrnt.

Franklin Mint was game changing when they were initially releasing models in the late 1980’s, but I agree that today if they were to be produced new that they’d fall a bit short on detail.

@@nicksdiecast1384 Classic cars of 1:1 we're built with much less technology than cars being built today. That doesn't make the classics any less desirable or valuable. I find my collection of Franklin and Danbury Mint cars to be very interesting and entertaining. Obsolete? I hardly think so.
