Like anyone new to Bitcoin, you're focusing on price and not on adoption. The price is clearly being manipulated. Over the last week, 10s of thousands of Bitcoin has been purchased over the counter (which doesn't affect price because the BTC doesn't touch exchanges) the sell off is happening through Grayscale as owners of their BTC trust sell-off due to their fees being 5-7 times higher than everyone else. Details matter.
