Everyone saying Finn singing, but for me it just feels as Jake singing and playing to his old friend Finn, Jake is old now too and learned to play guitar after many years as a violinist, they're enjoying the view the new treehouse. Jake and Finn thinking about their lives, their adventures together, Jake thinking about his kids, he's probably a greatgrandad by now. Finn thinking about the girls he had fallen in love, the friends he made along the way, his growth, all he's been through. Finn is laying down, he have a piece of grass in his mouth and one arm blocking the sun, he isn't using his mechanical arm right now. Jake is sitting. They both see Marceline and Bonnibel from afar, they wave to finn and jake. It's a sunset. Bmo is playing, running after a butterfly, and stops to watch the pretty view too. Bmo was the one who saw Marcy and Bonnie first, and said "Hey, look at who I found!". I turn 19 this year and grew up with what many thought was just a silly cartoon show with no meaning behind it. But this song alone proves that idea wrong. Adventure time WAS silly and it was a cartoon show but it taught us morals and the importance of friendship and righteousness. It taught us that it's normal to be sad and it taught us that life isn't perfect. The lore behind the story is one of my favourites in all of cinematography so thank you sir for making such a fine rendition of something that made my childhood significantly better. I don’t know what came over me, but I curled up into a ball and suddenly burst into tears upon hearing this. There was a deep feeling of a strange emptiness- loneliness even- formulating inside my chest that it hurt to breathe. Listening to this really hit me, knowing that I am no longer a child, no longer able to dream and wonder about the world. Compared to the original theme song where it is bright, positive, and cheerful, this has a more mellow and melancholy tune, as if it’s no longer a song about upcoming adventures and stories, but rather something to help reminisce on our past experiences and journeys and how it’s all coming to an inevitable end. Now, I am knowledgeable and aware of the pain and suffering around me that is paired with adulthood. It aches. How naive and foolish it was of me to ever want to grow up. I long for the days of my childhood that I will never get back. To all the young people reading this, please cherish your childhood. Contrary to what I thought, it’s not something that will last forever. Nothing lasts forever.

I can't stress enough how beautiful this cover is. The rawness of your voice and calm progression throughout the song (compared to the overly jolly, but still extremely enjoyable original version) and a little sad, nostalgic, melancholic undertone that doesn't take away from this song being wholesome and comforting... Ahhh. I love this. Makes me want to cry and imagine some movie scenes in which a character that lived through life and now has youth to take care off spends time with them in a park, beach, house in a forest teaching them new things and at the end of the song the youth he took care of helps him get up a hill etc. Beautiful cover.

This made me nearly cried, My life right now is a roller coasting emotion of happiness or sadness. I do not know how to feel at times. Constant of doubts. But this song just reminds me of old days, that I use to be such a innocent back then playing games all day, day and night. But they are just a pass that reminds all of us, that there are good things in life you never appreciated unless something hits you.
