In all honesty frantic, the tank you made is basically just a slightly shortened panther tank which was actually made, and like the tiger 1, it was pretty effective but had similar issues like the Tiger 2 I believe with engine problems and such due to the need for These tanks by the time American forces invaded were being desperate and needed tanks that could beat any tank easily

@@Leo_P1500 either way there where plans to make something like the könnigstiger but in panther which was basically a long barrelled panther with a few minor modernisations if I remember well like better optics etc... although I don't know the specifications of the tank so take that with a metric ton of salt. And again with a metric ton of salt I think there was a few of these tanks in 44' and 45' bit I'm not sure.

I tried a while ago and it's very hard, between the size of the shell, then of the barrell which must be optimal for just 250mm of penetration, of the armour, the engine and the space given to crew but I made a tank that was small and so effective I did all of the end game missions with such ease I laughed so it's worth it but it's only that good for an older version of sprocket because I couldn't bother to remake it

I almost always end up with very modern looking designs, I can’t help but fiddle with things trying to optimize them and slowly the designs creep along looking more and not modern.

You need to remember that this game implies gun movement limitations instead of telling you them outright. While it never actually tells you, it's something of a common sense thing once you think about it. If the turret or case mounting for the gun doesn't have room to accommodate the gun breach swinging up while you're aiming the barrel down, you can't aim the gun down. Likewise, if the turret/gun case mount does not have room to maneuver the gun breach down while you elevate the gun barrel, you will not be able to aim up very high. Center of the turret or case mount is the most ideal or just a little bit on the higher side of the mid line. But having the gun almost flush to the roof of the turret means you will not be able to aim down, meaning you cannot use any kind of ridgeline for cover and are extremely vulnerable when vaulting over any hill or ridge.

The Germans designed a replacement to the Luchs called the leopard during WW2 though it never went into production. I don't think they had a Jaguar so that name wins. Or maybe Cougar would be a good name as it chews up it's young crew 😁

Love the tank design simple yet effective the only issue I have is the speed it fits more to a light tank than a heavy if the top speed was let’s say 28hp I’ll would benefit the design😅

That is up to you, sprocket allows you to build quite a lot but there arent too many missions... War thunder is free... You dont have to buy anything soooo... probably sprocket?

You might want to set your upper shift rpm to something 200-400 rpm below the maximum, I believe there is some power loss close to max.

Funfact that everyone knows: AP is armor piercing. HE is highly explosive APHE is armor piercing highly explosive.

Oh that's because the number corresponds to how many of that type of tank are in the match. If there are four Tiger Is there will be a model named Tiger 1, Tiger 2, Tiger 3, and Tiger 4.
