Well, Vickers did it shortly after WWII. That tank became the basis of the T-26 (two turrets, initially), the Polish 7TP, and several other tanks. And the British built the Cruiser Tank, Mk. I with two machine gun turrets in front of the main turret. Heck, the Soviet T-28 had the same configuration. The real problem was that communication from turret to turret was impossible, so there was zero coordination.

@steeljawX Жыл бұрын
You can just call it a rotary cannon for simplicity's sake. The firing one after the other is called "volley fire" even though you'd think a volley would be all at once. So you're building a dual rotary cannon volley fire WWI tank. You should make the turrets alternate their fire, so one fires then the otherside then the otherside, etc. That way you have an actual sustained fire that you can space out across the reload time. Also, what a version of the game if they made a Frantic version of it. Frantic Bop it. Bop it! Twist it! Squidge it!!!!
@trueamericandon998510 ай бұрын

@paulwollenzein-zn1lh11 ай бұрын
There is a semi automatic cannon, a Hotchkiss (spelling?). It is a hand cranked just like the old civil war gatling gun. The main difference is mostly internal. But you basically just fill up the hopper with ammo, then you point it at your target and crank. I believe that it came in 25 mm to 40 mm. It used H.E. rounds. It was adopted by the US NAVY as a anti Boarding weapon to walk explosive shells to the boats full of boarders. It was easy to aim, relatively, being on a boat and all. The common caliber was the 1 inch, or 25 mm.
