For someone who can't take anything from psychoanalysis, you do a good job of summarizing it. I guess it's futile to ask you to cover Eros and Civilization? One of my fave books.

There is a copious amount of literature on the American civil War coming from all conceivable political/theoretical perspectives, yet I have never encountered your interpretatiopn that slavery came to an end in the US because Whites believed that they were in danger of becoming enslaved themselves. Do you have any sources for this? Incidentally, slavery in the US never got fully racialized. Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation liberated about 60,000 White slaves, but they comprised a small percentage of the total manumitted. And there were also still Blacks who owned slaves including Whites, many of them were quite wealthy and devoted to the Confederacy.

Hello, I've been watching your vids for quite some time now and I, pretty much, enjoy them. I just want to tell you that there is no need to make mocking voices etc like at 20:00. A similar thing happened in Donna Haraway vid (cyborgs) but there you assumed a more subtile mocking tone at certain points and a similar mood that persisted. Keep up the good job and improve. Regards.
