I have a strong core memory with this song. I was alone at home 10 or 11 years old waiting to leave for school. I decide to turn on the radio, I'm in the living room sitting on the floor in front of the family boom box, this song instantly starts playing. I had never heard it before. I'm blown away by the sound and I recall turning up the volume and just leaning in to hear better, such a good feeling washed over me.

A weird story about Franz Ferdinand: I was on family holiday as a kid up in Scotland, and we went to visit the lighthouse on the Mull of Galloway. We had a little tour by the guy who was keeping the lighthouse (Super nice bloke) and climbed the stairs all the way to the top to where he was going to do an abseil off for Charity. Anyway, somehow weirdly came up that I was learning the guitar at the time, and he mentioned his son played in a band and was currently in the Netherlands touring. Thinking that was pretty cool, I asked the name of the band, and he only bloody said Franz Ferdinand! Turned out his son was the bassist Bob Hardy! So before our holiday finished I sent the lighthouse keeper a drawing of the lighthouse I made, with him abseiling off the top as a thank you for the tour. To my surprise he sent me a letter back a few months later with some signed photos of the guys, and a note from them! I was a massive fan and couldn't of been happier! Weird how it’s such a small world. Bad ending is it all ended up getting stolen out of my bag at school after a show and tell! Still butt hurt to this day. :L This song always reminds me, but always a cool memory. (Edit: Grammar)

The Track is about a person who is longing for love and connection, and longing for someone to take them out and show them the world. The narrator is asking for someone to take them out on an adventure and show them what life has to offer. The chorus reflects this sentiment, as the narrator is aware that they won't be able to leave with the person they desire but still wants them to take them out. The song symbolizes longing and hope and ultimately encourages the listener to make the most out of life with the people they care about.

Well if Franz hadn't written this song, then he would have lived. Meaning that the 2 world wars either wouldn't happen or wouldn't be so deadly millions of lives would've been saved. Conclusion: we miss out on most Sabaton songs
