It’s beautiful to see those two together, it makes it feel as though all those soldiers didn’t die in vain

It's the politics, beliefs, and pure propaganda of a few that drives the machine to a point of madness that effects so many innocent lives and puts 'THEM', the everyday good citizen at odds and looking at each other down the length of a gun barrel to exact a point. Love the fact that these men in arms against one another in history, find each other in consolement that is monumentally as historic....if not even more so... Thanks to you both👍 Carry On...

Young guys watching out of their bunkers and saw this armada.... They just done what they have to do to survive and to protect each other. These germans didn't really fought for the ideology. They fought for their KAMERADEN (comrats) they became friends with. Severloh the other german at the picture ones summed it up very well when talked about his officer. " Icouldn't just run away. He is like my friend i couldn't let him down." It wasn't about idiology. It was about loyalty cause they knew the other Person would do the same.

Between Franz and Heinrich, they killed and wounded many American soldiers. I have a respect for these men though, because eventually they gave their first hand accounts of what happened, which took courage. As terrible as the Third Reich was, there were average everyday soldiers who fought for the same reasons our guys did, so I hold no malice towards them. I am grateful we have their perspectives of the battle.....a perspective for history.
