After going on yousician, flowkey, and other piano learning apps, I realized there is nothing compared to the guidance of a teacher. Community college classes are great. I was limiting myself because I wanted to be entirely "self taught" from the internet. But letting go of that helped me reach out to get better. Edit: limited> limiting

He's actually Liszt's descendant?
@JuanPabloBayona4 жыл бұрын
@Yanno S Michael Andreas comes from a family with German roots and is a direct descendant of the Hungarian maestro Franz Liszt and the pianist Sophie Menter. Although Liszt is remembered as a priest, he made his vows as an adult, having previously had a son and two daughters, who perpetuated the descent of the piano genius. In Michael's case, his ancestry comes from the son Liszt had had with pianist Sophie Menter. Thus, Sophie and Liszt were the grandparents of what is now Michael's grandfather, Franz Bergmann.

Rahul pawar i’m not trying to spread any hate, but that’s far from perfect. In one of his master classes, Lang Lang said to the student : « good, you played about 95% of the notes correctly, witch is very good. ». This guy plays it indeed very fast, witch is the thing that blows most of people’s mind, but really plays like 80-85% of the correct notes. If you want to hear a perfect La Campanella, go check Lang Lang himself or Arthur Rubinstein. These are really perfect. But once again La Campanella is one of the hardest pieces out here, and I have a lot of respect to anyone that had at least the perseverance to learn it entirely.

@@tinus1429 how was Rousseau's performance?, I think it was almost perfect
@tinus14294 жыл бұрын
Samuele Marcolongo it was good but you can’t compare it to known pianists’ version, Rousseau’s one is complete, yes, but not « perfect ». I mean we all have different definition of the word « perfect » but fir me perfect does not only mean playing all the notes.

very decent interpretation, the emphasis and timing needs more work. of course to play this piece at the highest level you need to get at least 10 more years of playing, since the player is really young. you have not fully developed the muscle memory needed to perfectly execute this peace, but the player is very talented, i expect that in another 5-10 years he will master this unbelievable piece.

I think that there are a good amount of better recordings. He obviously has the technique to play the notes, but the strangeness of his pedaling leaves something to be desired. I can't wait to see what does become of him when he does master the pedal; that will be an exciting time!

You cant have a good ear since he sometimes played far from right. Also his left wasnt very much in sync with the right and if im not wrong he even played 1-2keys wrong. Amazing talent but he wouldnt have a chance in a liszt competition versus others that can play the piece
