Classical music is a very tough business. Schreker stood in the spotlight for a considerable period of time and then got pushed off the stage and fell into oblivion until KZbin brought him back to us.

This chamber symphony is one of ther rare works of Shenker that are not extracted from an opera, a gnre to which he devoted almost exclusively. It is very finely crafted and orchestrated. A true gem !!!!

Yes, and as far as I know, this recording has not been released on CD.

You are probably right. there are not many versions of this symphony on CD. I have a version with the first violin concerto of Krenek conducted by Heirich Schiff. .
