the movement of the eyebrows occurs at exactly the right time when Erlkönig harasses the child with perversity to seduce him ("I love you, your forms please me") then, if the child resists, he grabs him violently before raping him ("if you don't want to follow me, I will take you by force"). Erlkönig is a poem about sexual assault followed by a child murder and a father that does not understand anything and does not believe his son.

He's doing most of the differentiation between the characters with his face, which does work. But the whole thing is ratcheted up too high, especially at the outset. He has a big splendid voice, will be an amazing Figaro or Escamillo, for exam ple, someday, but this is a lied.
