This begs to be the background music for a movie or a TV show, especially the theme and the fifth variation!

At the variation where the bass and the cello play the theme, the piano is much too loud. It's at about 3:00. That's really a pity because they (bass and cello) play really well. At this passage, who is interested in these unsignificant piano notes? These are just accompaniment. A good pianist will see and play accordingy, and not play the role of a virtuoso.
