Franz Waxman: He Ran All the Way (1951)

I've never seen this one but I really liked John Garfield. Waxman's score is edgily dramatic and guaranteed to keep the cinema audience glued to their seats.

Garfield was great in this one. In fact it was his last film.

I didn't know that. Always felt that he and Paul Muni have become a little underrated over time and yet both, to me, seem to anticipate "method", or at least a slightly more sophisticated version of that type of acting.
