As a FE I don't think kelangan ng designer na marunong mag code. Magkaiba na magkaiba ang field ng FE at UX/UI. Mas madali parin sakin mag Devops kesa mag design. Because it's a completely different job compared sa devops, specialty lang yung devops ng software engineer and mas maiintindihan namin sila kesa sa designers. But still, depende parin sa situation. Sure basic HTML/CSS/JS still helps but when it comes to complex UI (like Figma for example) that basic wouldn't help that much. We're practically working on the edge of the browser na kasi. My preference parin is having a good communication skillset, and this goes both ways especially sa engineers. Kung complex yung design or not practical, pwede naman na makipag usap yung engineer sa designer and ask kung pwede bang baguhin yung design para mas madali and maging practical. Also additional advice din sa aspiring designers and gustong samahan ng frontend engineering skills, please always take a higher salary. You're even more rare than a full stack engineer and they're practically hiring for 2 people 😂

Very well said! Thanks for your inputs! I agree na communication is the key talaga and kung sino yung dapat maging flexible, dev or designer then settle for one na everyone will agree.

UX designers no need for code at all, UI designer could have an understanding would be helpful but not necessary, web design knowing to code could be helpful
