Enjoyed this one, thanks! You summed it up perfectly; "sit and watch the world go by ". That's why I enjoy balconies. If its too cold or hot, just pop inside a few minutes then back outside. I'm still laughing about how much food you can Hoover up in 15 minutes. 🤣 Just hit me funny, thanks for the laugh.

Great video. Seems as if it's not a very full ship, didn't see anyone else getting off or on in Rotterdam. Enjoy what looks like a peaceful cruise!

Believe it or not, the ship was actually full for our sailing - I think I’ve just got a vloggers eye when it comes to filming - I’m always nervous about having people in my shots, ha!

As a crew member for P&O for three years and then Princess for another three, I peed myself laughing 'the ship leaves at 11.30 and its now 11.25 , i got here in plenty of time' it really cracked me up , well done mate

I am generally a morning person but I get serious anxiety at debarking the ship early in the morning, even after quite a few cruises. 🤣 Your formal wear that night was impressive! Much more than some do...very nice.

Ha, yeah - the mornings are always a struggle, aren’t they? I feel so stressed sometimes! Thanks very much - I used to not enjoy the formal evenings, but have grown to love them now! Thanks for watching as always, Tammy!

Great info. We never get near to all aboard time. Try to be an hour in advance. The talk thru of disembarking and the process the night before will be helpful to many. Still get some 'have we done it right' anxiety 20 odd cruises in. There is some variance between the different cruiselines. We are fans of carrying off our own luggage if practical. Hope the bath was a treat for a cruise ship? I'm sure that sorry looking egg piece you had for breakfast has square slice manufacturers, pleased ! You have to be Scots to follow that last sentence. 🙂 🏴

Ha, if I could get a square on a ship, the world would be a happy place…!! Disembarking is always a tricky one, especially when you need to start ‘prepping’ it the night before! Thanks for watching!

I was in Rotterdam on Harmony Of The Seas on its pre-inaugural voyage. As the largest ship in the world at the time we brought all of Rotterdam to a stand still as everyone had come out to see the ship and wave us off 😂 we got off to do a day trip to Gouda and got stuck in all the traffic coming back to the ship. We were over 2 hours late getting back onboard but because we were on an official cruise tour the ship waited for us. 😂
@FraserAtSea Жыл бұрын
Wow - thank goodness you’d took a tour! I do love how central the port is - amazing a ship as big as Harmony could get in! I’m actually on MSC Virtuosa as we speak, and will be docking in Rotterdam in a few days time - excited to be back!
@bigman2352 Жыл бұрын
@@FraserAtSea yes, if we had booked a 3rd party tour chances are the ship would have left without us but being on an official tour they had to wait for us. 😊

Hi Fraser, I’ve just found your vlogs on my first ever cruise Sunday on Arcadia it’s going to be similar temps to what you expirenced in Norway/Iceland my question is and my biggest worry is was the ship a decent tempreture? I don’t want to be all glammed up and hot having dinner etc :)
@FraserAtSea5 ай бұрын
Hey! Ah, I’m glad you’ve found me - welcome onboard! Oh, have a fab time next week - hopefully you’ve found my Arcadia ship tour already! The temperature on the ship really wasn’t an issue - they did have the heating on, but no warmer than it would be in the house. I often find it amazing how they regulate the temperatures on the ships - really impressive considering you’re floating on the ocean, ha. Again, WELCOME!

One of my least favourite aspects of cruising is the early start on the disembarkation morning. After a week or more of late ly ins and usually late night entertainment put on by the cruise line on the final night, actually having to be up and out of the state room by 8am always feels like a big effort.
@FraserAtSea Жыл бұрын
I completely agree - I found such a huge difference with my Virgin cruise, where I needed to be off by about 11am. It was SO nice to have a relaxed breakfast on that final morning!
@johnluvsluna Жыл бұрын
@@FraserAtSea I had heard that Virgin had a later embarkation time, but I didn't know it also allowed a late Disembarkation. That's great news! I'll be sailing my first back to back on Brilliant Lady in 2024.

@@FraserAtSea Sunset in the Lesser Antilles followed by Southeastern Caribbean Isles in January 2024. First time visiting southern Caribbean and some new ports in the Eastern Caribbean for me. Virgins 0% single supplement promotion last summer seemed a great opportunity to try this less "traditional" line.
