I WAS excited... until I learned that NO ONE ELSE from the series will be rejoining Grammer! Pierce just announced he won't be returning since he doesn't want to repeat himself.

This isn’t really a reboot in the same sense that, for ex., Murphy Brown was when it was off the air for close to 20 years but came back w basically the same cast (simpler older) and continued the show in a similar manner. KG is merely taking HIS character, from Cheers and Frasier & moving ONLY himself to a different city with entirely new cast members, (and of course, new writers, producers and directors). A reboot would be continuing Frasier, the tv series, even if he himself moved to another city, with many of the same cast members from before. Of course, Martin (RIP 🙏🕊️) can not do that, but as he’s not even including his brother - the reason I watched Frasier in the first place - it’s more than just a gamble for KG to move to another city with an entirely new cast. He’s already done that - quite successfully!! - for 11 years directly following the end of Cheers. To be off the air for about a fifth of a century, then AGAIN attempt to do this a second time is like trying to win the lottery. After already winning once. The chances are so slim as to appear negligible or even nonexistent. I said this somewhere else but Bob Newhart wasn’t able to successfully begin again a third time and I am a HUGE Bob Newhart fan. So much more than KG. I appreciate all the joy and excitement and fun his character brought into my life. But I’m afraid he’s going to put a stain on what I presently consider to be close to perfection on a 20 year character simply to make money. And I honestly don’t believe he’s in need of such. He could instead try to come up with a different, new sitcom or drama that happens to work this time around. George Clooney was in a couple of bad sitcoms, one of which was (also) named ER but, of course, didn’t run for 15 years. He just kept plugging away. Why even attempt, 20 yrs after the fact, to NOT reboot Frasier but take him elsewhere and start all over again?! What kind of lunatic takes that kind of gamble w a character that worked so well for two decades?! Either he’s insane or bankrupt. (Just a guess…) 😳😳😳

Enzo (July 1995 - June 23, 2010) was a Jack Russell Terrier canine actor who portrayed Eddie Crane on the American television sitcom Frasier. Eddie was originally portrayed by Enzo’s father, Moose; Enzo was one of a few puppies bred specifically as possible replacements for Moose, as it became clear that Frasier was a hit and would enjoy a long run. A daughter, Miko, was considered but never grew large enough (she was given to a technician); a son, Moosie, lived with Peri Gilpin, the actress who played Roz Doyle. Enzo was cast as Skip in the feature film My Dog Skip. Moose played the older Skip in a few scenes. His trainer and several actors have commented on Enzo’s skill and trainability; he performed tricks and portrayed a wide variety of emotions. A 1999 interview quotes the director of My Dog Skip: (Skip never failed us. I wish I worked with actors who were as well prepared as Skip. There was not a trick or a piece of business we asked the dog to do that he wasn't able to do; it was uncanny. The trainers were so good, they could stop him on a mark, he could lift his leg, he could do a somersault. I expected to see him reading The New York Times any day.) Enzo died of cancer on June 23, 2010, at the age of 14 (incorrectly stated as 16).

This is my absolute favorite show ❣️❣️❣️ I have watched this since I was in middle school and still watch it at 33 years old.. I thought 🤔 I would end up living somewhat like Frasier.. 😂 but alas, life crushed me like a tin can.

I've learnt about this show when I was 35, 3 years ago (I'm from Russia, so I didn't have any good history of sitcoms like US and UK people have) - and still watch it, over and over, one of my favorite TV shows of all time. P.S. I believe that Niles character was an inspiration for some PhD guy Sheldon Lee Cooper :)

Not to mention Kelsey Grammer had a recurring stint as the voice of Sideshow Bob on The Simpsons and David Hyde Pierce was in animated movies like Osmosis Jones and Treasure Planet respectively. BTW, I still need to binge watch Cheers and the spinoff series Frasier sometime in 2023.

How could you not mention Gilpin’s wonderful stint on Scorpion??! She played Katherine Cooper for 7 episodes in the series’ second season. She was awesome! Instead of snarky, sarcastic Roz, her character was a badass!

I definitely believe that Frasier was one of the best, well written, more sophisticated but still containing slapstick humor sitcoms that came along in the last few decades. But while plenty of people were involved with the success of the show, I would have to say that DHP/ Niles was far and away my favorite character, bar none. I certainly enjoyed KG/ Frasier himself, but I preferred him in smaller doses - unless he was specifically doing an episode wherein the brothers were competing w one another. Otherwise, I loved him more as a side character, which sounds like a ridiculous thing to say about the lead actor of a series but DHP drew focus away from KG whenever they were on screen together and that was fairly frequently! I’m sorry (IMPO) I really enjoyed the Will they/ won’t they with Niles and Daphne (which was given such a deft touch in Frasier) and the back and forth between the boys and their dad, with whom they barely had anything in common. (Other than truly loving one another.) Too many Frasier episodes were outstanding & quotable such that naming just one would be silly, so I won’t do that, but the cast, as a general rule was simply fantastic; I wasn’t a big fan of Sam, etc visiting from the bar but… Lilith’s visits were ALWAYS outstanding & poor Frederick, whom (I’m just guessing) will be in the next Frasier reboot, probably has many MANY things to say about his mother and father. I wish KG well; but I feel fairly doubtful that he’ll manage to take this character to a third sitcom and yet again, find an entirely new wondrous cast to surround him, with the same level of writers, directors & producers. The character himself has been on hiatus for close to 20 years, and while OF COURSE people age, it will be a striking difference from the last time ppl saw Frasier to whatever is put together for the new show. I’d still think it wasn’t the best idea even if Niles was included but without the biggest reason why I enjoyed Frasier so much, I’m not certain KG can put together another cast that will suit his skills. Bc while I definitely enjoyed seeing him in Cheers, he was simply part of an ensemble group; I wasn’t watching Cheers specifically for Frasier, and I wasn’t really even watching Frasier for Frasier, so my hopes for his new show are more “please don’t ruin the legacy…” 🥰🥰🥰😂😂😂
