In this lecture, professor Lúcia Helena Galvão from New Acropolis Organization since 32 years, brings a reflection on the most intimate meaning of fraternity, highlighting the value of empathy in relationships and bonds that human beings establish with themselves and in society.
This lecture is part of the celebrations of World Philosophy Day 2021, an event celebrated by New Acropolis in the more than 50 countries in which it operates through the promotion of dialogues, lectures, exhibitions, panels and various events.
In times of crisis, New Acropolis seeks to awaken human beings to their conditions full of values, virtues and wisdom.
This year’s theme is “The value of unity in times of crisis”.
Thus, from reflection to practice, we recognize philosophy as an essential tool to overcome obstacles and overcome the crises that surround us with the aim of contributing to the construction of a better society.
